A simply sponged oval for the backdrop of my die-cut poppies finished off with a stamped sentiment and sequins.

Hi Friends!

Welcome to more slimline stencil goodness. Rather than making a DL card, I went for more conventional measurements. Right now I'm really liking the Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive colour combo. It's rather cheerful.

Here is today's project, my DT piece for the Inspiration Post over on the STAMPlorations blog ...

This time I used the Festive Bursts slimline stencil and embossed it before blending my inks. I finished off with a stamped and die-cut sentiment combination and some matching sequins.

I rather  like embossing with stencils as it gives a nice background texture and adds lovely dimension to colourful stenilling.

I thought with exam results around the corner, it would be a good time to make a different kind of congratulations card hence I inked up One Cool Chick using a selection of my new Izink inks to create a card with no black in sight.

Next up is my slightly grungy card, for which I inked up the Precious Plumerias with multiple colours, did a bit of watercolour spritzing and partial border stamping to create the background for my die-cut and stamped sentiment.

The florals are perfect for background stamping too. I added a frame and some doodles for a truly handmade feel.

.... and here are my a little art deco inspired samples ....

I experimented with drawing lines around the florals to create panels. The rest is simply coloured and stamped with the addition of a new die-cut sentiment.

A Little Box

Pondshop Brushmarkers 3

Hello Crafty Friends!

Last, but not least, three cards with butterflies which were the first images I coloured with the brush markers from Poundworld without using a damp brush. Here they are ...

First up a very CAS card ... the little butterfly was so delicate and the colours so beautiful that I felt it warranted a card with lots o white space to allow it to shine.

The second one is similar apart from having the stitched framed aperture, different colours and a slightly change layout.

The last one had some background stamping, glittery eyeliner and glossy accent added. The glossy accents slightly changed the colours and absorbed the golden glitter making it appear to be coloured as you can see from the slightly blurry close-up.
