Pondshop Brushmarkers 3

Hello Crafty Friends!

Last, but not least, three cards with butterflies which were the first images I coloured with the brush markers from Poundworld without using a damp brush. Here they are ...

First up a very CAS card ... the little butterfly was so delicate and the colours so beautiful that I felt it warranted a card with lots o white space to allow it to shine.

The second one is similar apart from having the stitched framed aperture, different colours and a slightly change layout.

The last one had some background stamping, glittery eyeliner and glossy accent added. The glossy accents slightly changed the colours and absorbed the golden glitter making it appear to be coloured as you can see from the slightly blurry close-up.

Here are close-ups of all three cards ...

That's it from me for today. Hope you enjoyed reading about my £Shop trials.
Have a lovely week!

CUTplorations March Reminder

Hello Crafty Friends!

Over at STAMPlorations the CUTplorations Challenge  is in full swing, and I just wanted to post a little reminder project for you to get your creative juices flowing. Here it is ...

I was playing with Brushos the other day to make some ATCs for my post here. As always I try to get as much out of a messy crafting session as I can hence I got some prints of the stencils I used, see my card here, and whatever was left over on my craft mat got mopped up with cream card, a piece of which I used for today's project.

The cream card made the colours look a little peachy, exactly what I needed given the colours of the March Inspiration Photo, especially the dress on the right hand side ...

... which I combined with the idea of the three panels.

The background already was quite textured, and I felt a single flower from the Blooming Buds set would go well. Once I'd stamped and coloured (Cocktail and Antique Pink, Tan and Cinnamon Promarkers) my flower, I used my craft knife and scissors to cut a strip around the flower and layered on my kraft base card.
I then added the die-cut Hello and the stamped sentiment from the Bloom Sketches set to finish.

Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to see how my teamies interpreted the photo and to link up your entry too. There are prizes for the winner ($10 gift certificate) and the two runner-ups ($5gift certificate each) as voted by the DT plus, if there are 30 or more entries, one randomly drawn winner can choose any 2 of the CUTplorations Word/Phrase Dies the DT used in their projects. That's well worth creating for, what do you think?

That's it from me for now.
Have a lovely day!

Revisiting Favourites

for my Spotlight feature over at STAMPlorations ...

Hello Crafty Friends!
It's my turn for a Spotlight Project over at STAMPlorations. It is a sort of a follow on from Monday's Mixed Media Tutorial. I am looking to make an alternative cover for the note pad I am going to use to record my art journal projects with a little help from two of my favourite Stamp Club sets, Bloom Sketches and Mixed Media Grunge, and the Daisy Dance and Foiled Again ARTplorations Stencils.

Here is the finished project:

Anything I tend to pick up a lot or put on a shelf needs to have minimal layers and embellishments to feel robust. My way of dealing with this is to add layers and detail through sponging and stamping hence the use of the two stencils. As you can see one through the other you are getting an incredible depth and the daisies just seem to float.

I really love how the stamped border turned out. The stamps from the Mixed Media Grunge set add detail without stealing the show.

If you want to find out how I made my cover, pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog for a full step by step tutorial.
That's it from me now, have a lovely day!

Thanks So Much

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am back today with another card inspired by the CUTplorations Challenge over at STAMPlorations, here it is ...

I went with the colours, the leaves became daisies, the raindrops splatters and the girl with the umbrella a die-cut/stamped sentiment .... here is the inspiration photo to remind you ...

I simply stamped the daisies from the Bloom Sketches set, one at the time starting with the yellow one, in dye ink before pulling some of the ink into the petals using a damp brush. I then added the grey splatters, my die-cut and stamped sentiment (CUTplorations Word Die: Thanks and Sentiment Builder: Thank You), layered on my grey base card and finished off with a few sequins. Here is another look ...

If you fancy playing along, pop over to the STAMPlortaions Blog to check out the full rules and to link up your make. I am looking forward to seeing your creations there.

That's it from me for today. Have a lovely day!

Big Hugs

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and that means Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. I needed to make some quick and easy note cards that weren't too artsy either ...

I simply stamped and watercoloured the Framed Cherry Blossom, matted it on a piece of card edged with one of the dies from the CUTplorations ATC Tag Builder set (watch out for the official release blog hop next week), added a piece of Washi to my base card, layered everything up and finished off with some  sequins and a sentiment from the Bloom Sketches set.

Here is a look at the lot, still need to make a box before the gift is ready ...

Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out the fabulous projects my teamies created and to leave a comment for your chance to win one of their prizes.

That's it from me for now. Have a lovely day!

Perfect Pearls

... for a subtle look ...

Hi All,

For today's Inspiration project, I was working with my very limited stash of Perfect Pearls. I felt this delicately drawn lily from the set Smile would really suit this style ...

You simply stamp the image using Versamark ink and apply your PP powder (I used Rust, Perfect Gold and Heirloom Gold) with a soft brush. I finished off with a statement making gold embossed sentiment.

You can see more great and inspired Inspiration Projects over on the STAMPlorations Blog where leaving a comment will give you an entry for your chance to win a $10 gift certificate.

The April Stamp Release Blog Hop is still in full swing over on the STAMPloratiosn Blog. Why not pop over and join the fun.

I shall be back soon with more inspiration.

Have a lovely weekend!
Hugs

She Believed

Hi All,

It's Inspiration time over at STAMPlorations and I am back today with another Twinkling H2O make using the last one of my stencil prints from this month's ARTplorations Stencil Hop project using the Delicate Links stencil, If you zoom in, you can just see the pastel pink print adding some lovely detail around the sunflower ...

I stamped the sunflower from the Bloom Sketches set in Coffee Archival ink and coloured it using Celestial Sun and Mandarin Blush H2Os and a little of Northern Lights for the background. I then spritzed with Crushed Curry ink, stamped my sentiment from the Strong Women set in black and layered onto my matching base card.

Here is another look for you ...

Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out the wonderful projects my teamies created and to leave a comment for your entry to win a $10 gift certificate.
