Sketched Blooms 2

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today it's the turn of the sunflower from the Sketched Blooms set which is available as digital stamps from STAMPlorations Digital Store here.

I've gone a bit less clean and simple and opted for a messier background using two stencils in combination with some splatter and script stamping, stencils and stamps by STAMPlorations..

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

Queen Bee

Hi Crafty Friends!

Sharing another card using stamps from the Scribbly Insects set by Dina Wakley Media, this time using the bee and one of the sentiments.

It has more of a mixed media feel. the bee was coloured with metallic pencils and masked before stamping the silhouette foliage using stamps from a couple of sets by Uniko. The script stamp is from a set by STAMPlorations.

I finished off by adding a watercolour shadow around the bee and a touch of glitter glue on the wings.

Wishing you a lovely day!

Notecards 2

Hi Friends!

Something else I had in my stash for a while was this set of layered rose dies which came with a magazine. It's getting its first outing today ...

It was the perfect opportunity to use some of the smaller pieces of card from an old Color Coach by Stampin'Up! It didn't matter that the card was only coloured at the top and not fully through as I was blending the die-cut pieces with matching ink to make the colour contrast a little softer.

I popped the finished roses up on a stencilled and stamped background.

The rose dies are by AlteNew. For the background I used the Square Lots square stencil and stamps from the Mixed Media Elements and Art Marks set by STAMPlorations in combination with London Fog Memento ink

Wishing you a lovely day!

Heart Balloon to Butterfly

Hi Friends!

Just sharing what I made for my first Spotlight project of 2022 over at STAMPlorations. When I recently rearranged my craft space I found some die-cut balloons with their negative cuts which I had kept for future use.

Today's project tutorial makes good use of the inner negative cut from the balloon frame. Have a look.

If you want to find out how my project cam together, you can find a full step-by-step tutorial here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

Introducing Newsprint Autumn Tiles

Hi Crafty Friends!

STAMPlorations have another new addition to their Ephemera range ... Newsprint Autumn Tiles. I was able to have a little play with them to give you some ideas.

Here are my makes ...

The first one is using one of the squares and easy layering on squares cur from matching coloured card. This is taking me back to the beginnings of my cardmaking journey. It's still a classing design that just works. The die-cut sentiment is from the Everyday Sentiments die set.

Next up is another classic and throw back to the early days. I used some of the tiles as 'background paper' and fuzzy cut the flowers to add another layer to my top tile. Again the die-cut sentiment is from the Everyday Sentiments die set.

My next projects features them on a couple of super skinny cards with a little bit of added stamping in the background. The text stamp is from the Art Marks 3 set and the dotty border from the Mixed Media Grunge set. The die-cut sentiments are from the Everyday Sentiments die set.

This time they were popped on a coloured cardbase with some added stencilling for a warm autumn feel.
The stencil used is the standard size Leaf Prints 4. The Thankful Every Day phrase die finished my card off.

My last card features one of the tiles on a collage stamped/stencilled background complemented with a negative die-cut sentiment. I used various shades of grey and added some light mist spritzing.
For the collage background I used: The Birds and The Blooms set for the sunflowers, the script from the Mixed Media Elements set, the splatters from the Art Marks set and the Leaf Prints 4 stencil for the background stencilling. The Skinny Sentiments die set was used for the sentiment.

Here are the STAMPlorations products I used in today's card:

That's it from me for today. Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out how my teamies have used some of the other paper goods designs..

I shall be back soon with another make. Until then ... have a lovely day!

Introducing Vintage Blooms #2 ATCs

Hi Crafty Friends!

STAMPlorations are having some new Ephemera ATCs which I am pleased to be showcasing today. They are called Vintage Blooms #2, gorgeous white blooms on a kraft background which I decided to colour.

Here is my first trio ...

Let's have a look at them individually ...

My first ATC was coloured using watercolour pencils and a light damp brush. It was popped up on a collage background in Sahara Sand SU ink. To create the background I used: Leaf Prints #4 regular size stencil, the script from the Mixed Media Elements stamp set and the splatters from the Art Marks stamp set. It was finished off with a sentiment from the So Loved set in Elegant Eggplant SU ink.

The poppy was coloured using alcohol markers. My red one had gone a bit dry hence the unusual effect. It was popped up on a collage background in Grenadine Izink ink. For the background I used: Placid square stencil, the script and splatters from the Mixed Media Elements set and a sentiment from the Tweet Love set.

My last card's flowers were coloured with watercolour pencils. The collage background features the Square Lots square stencil, the script from Mixed Media Elements and the florals from Blossom Sprays #2, all in Elegant Eggplant SU ink. My card was finished off with a die-cut 'hugs' and pink sequin.
