Sending Love

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.  I thought I'd share a CAS-ified version of my Leafy card from this post here. It was one quite a few of you seemed to like. So here is my second take on combining Leafy with Art Marks 2 ...

Instead of using shades of green, I went a bit more colourful and used Fire Coral, Dusky Rose and Apple Green Prism inks for the scribbly rectangles. The rest was stamped in black Versafine.

Best of all ... no colouring skills needed!

If you feel like bagging yourself a bargain and take advantage of STAMPlorations' Stencil & Sticker Sale check out the graphic at the end of this post.
You can check out all of STAMPlorations' current promotions here.

That's it from me for today. Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out my teamies' beautiful makes.

Hope you're having a lovely week!

Sweet Peony

Hi Crafty Friends!

Sharing another card I made just for fun because I fancied doing some colouring ....

... and because I love this gorgeous Peony stamp set by Uniko. It's stamped and coloured using my metallic pencils and finished off with a bit of stencilling.

I didn't add a sentiment, because I felt it would detract too much from the beautifully drawn bloom.

That's it from me for today.

Well Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends!

Thanks so much for your lovely comments on yesterday's card. So glad you liked it.

I'm sticking with the one corner theme for today's card, here it is ...

I die-cut and assembled a few of these little trees a while ago ready for when I needed a quick card. Well, I needed a get well soon card and made this as my first attempt, the second one is to follow tomorrow.

I used one of the trees and attached it to a stencilled and stamped background finished off with a tiny stamped sentiment and sequin.

I am entering my card at:
AAA Cards CAS Game #159 - one corner, optional twist: love your older supplies, the stamps I used for the background stamping are from a set I've had for a number of years plus I haven't used them in a while

That's it from me for today. Have a lovely weekend!

One-layer Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends!

Just sharing a CAS card today inspired by the current challenge over st AAA Cards where the theme is 'one corner' with the optional twist of loving one's older supplies plus the birthday theme from Time Out Challenges ... which also inspired me to dig out some of my Uniko stamps.

Here is my take on both ...

As you can see, I stuck to one corner ... as for loving older supplies ... well I got the floral stamp set about a couple of years ago and have never really used it. I know, it's bad, isn't it ... especially given as it's really pretty.

I used Beautiful Blooms III and Birthday Wishes by Uniko Ltd stamped with Mauve Moments, Purple Velvet, Rainforest and Spring Green Prism ink pads with the sentiment being stamped in black Versafine.

Birthday Flowers

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.  I got a quick card for you today using Shirley's new Layered Vase set ...

I simply gold embossed the vase and added colour using the solid stamps and Prism inks (Mauve Moment, Purple Velvet and Spring Green) before finishing off with a gold die-cut sentiment and a couple of sequins. It was really that quick to make.

STAMPlorations Special Release Day 4

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's release week over at STAMPlorations. They are introducing 4 stamp sets perfect for Spring themed cards and more ...

Here are my DT pieces for DAY 4 featuring Sweetly designed by Shery aka Shery Russ Designs ...

The flowers are watercoloured, fuzzy cut and layered on a splatter and stamped background.

For my second card, I wanted the butterfly to take center stage hence I used the flowers to stamp my background, heat embossed and watercoloured my butterfly and finished off with a bold stamped sentiment and some gems. The rounded corner is a little retro giving a nod to the in-style from a few years ago.

Here is Shery's new set ...

STAMPlorations Special Release Day 3

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's release week over at STAMPlorations. They are introducing 4 stamp sets perfect for Spring themed cards and more ...

Here are my DT pieces for DAY 3 featuring Softly designed by Sherry aka Shery Russ Designs ...

Adding colour without colouring is the theme of my first card where I stamped the florals on a sponged rainbow coloured background and finished off with a gold embossed sentiment and a few sequins.

When first seeing the floral stamp from Softly, I envisaged it partially fuzzy cut off the edge and backed with a subtle background. Rather than colouring, I felt it could look rather elegant silver embossed with a white background ...

or a pink one adding subtle texture with tissue paper.

Here is Shery's new set ...
