Getting Bitty

Hi Friends!

Today I'm sharing a bitty collage card, here it is ...

I just went a little bit crazy with background stamping and using up bits from my desk.

Keeping it short and sweet. Wishing you a lovely day!

June TAGplorations Reminder

Hello Crafty Friends!

Just a gentle reminder that the TAGplorations Challenge is in full swing over at STAMPlorations ... and there is still time to play.

The theme for June is: All About Dad
The optional twist is: to use a Stencil

Here is my DT project ...

As you can see, I went for the optional twist and used a stencil to add some sponged dotty detail. My tag is a simple one-layer tag with masked and stamped fancy birthday cakes. It's finished off with some paper ribbon.

If you love tags, why not give it a go and play along? Your project can be anything as long as it features a tag. You can enter as many projects as you want, but one per blog post please, and you don't have to use STAMPlorations products, yet we'd be thrilled if you would. There is currently a free image to download at STAMPlorations Never ending Anything Goes Challenge here. Please check out the full revised challenge guidelines here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

One lucky winner, voted for by the DT, will win a $15 STAMPlorations gift certificate and 3 randomly picked players will win a $5 STAMPlorations gift certificate each.

Spring

Hello Crafty Friends!

March's TAGplorations Challenge is in full swing over at STAMPlorations. There is still time to play.

The theme for March is: All About Spring
The optional twist is: to use Birds

Well, as you can see, this time I went for the optional twist and included some birds in m tag. Here it is ...

I spritzed the die-cut tag with liquid watercolour, stamped the daffodil in black and splattered with yellow chalk mist. I then die-cut the feather and popped it up on a couple of green die-cut ones allowing a little shadow to peep out. After adding the birds and sentiment, I finished off with a grungy stamped border, some pearls and orange ribbon.

Hello Sunshine

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's 1st Tuesday in February and the start of a new TAGplorations Challenge over at STAMPlorations.

The theme for February is: All About Spring
The optional twist is: to use Birds

Well, as you can see, I didn't go for the optional twist this time. I had originally planned to include a little bird somewhere in my tag, but somehow it didn't work out.

Spring for me is all about daffodils and yellow symbolising sunshine. There is also the fresh green of young shoots and leaves breaking through, all of which I tried to capture in my tag. Here it is ...

It has been unseasonally warm and sunny last week which was really nice. It enabled us to get out into the garden and doing some catching up on outer maintenance a bit earlier than we thought.

As for my tag ... I spritzed the die-cut tag with liquid watercolour and stamped some yellow dotty leaves for my background. The daffodil was stamped on mixed media card and watercoloured using inks. I did a bit of border stamping, added my die-cut sentiment and finished off with matching paper ribbon.

If you love tags, why not give it a go and play along? Your project can be anything as long as it features a tag. Banana Love

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's 1st Tuesday in February and the start of a new TAGplorations Challenge over at STAMPlorations.

The theme for February is: All About Love
The optional twist is: to use Cupcakes

Well, as you can see, I'm 'playing' the optional twist with my cupcake shaker and banana love.

Instead of filling the shaker element with sequins, I used tiny punched paper hearts. The background is sponged with a few water splatters and stamped with hearts and sentiment. The cheeky monkeys were stamped and watercoloured on mixed media card and fuzzy cut.

If you love tags, why not give it a go and play along? Your project can be anything as long as it features a tag. You can enter as many projects as you want, but one per blog post please, and you don't have to use STAMPlorations products, yet we'd be thrilled if you would. January TAGplorations Reminder

Hello Crafty Friends!

Just a little reminder that January's TAGplorations Challenge is in full swing over at STAMPlorations. There is still time to enter.

The theme for January is: All About Winter
The optional twist is: to use Texture Paste

Well, as you can see, I've gone all out for the optional twist of texture paste with my trees.

I cut a tag from a piece of card I had used to mop up some ink from my craft mat. I then used some texture paste through the Christmas Tree 1 stencil and sprinkled it with glitter to make my trees sparkle.

Whilst the paste was drying, I did some stamping using the Winter Chill set, colouring and fuzzy cutting plus a bit of heat embossing and doodling before assembling my tag and finishing off with a few snowflake sequins and a bit of silver and black ribbons.

The theme for November is: All About Winter
The optional twist is: to use Texture Paste

Well, as you can see, I've gone all out for the optional twist of texture paste.

I cut a tag from a piece of card I had used to mop up some ink from my craft mat. I then used some texture paste through the Dots All Over stencil and sprinkled it with glitter to make my dots sparkle.

Whilst the paste was drying, I did some stamping using the Winter Chill set, colouring and fuzzy cutting before assembling my tag and finishing off with a bit of silver ribbon.

December TAGplorations Reminder

Hello Crafty Friends!

The TAGplorations Challenge is in full swing over at STAMPlorations. There is still time to join the fun.

The theme for December is: All About Christmas
The optional twist is: to use Glitter

Well, as you can see, I've added a bit of glitter tape in keeping with the optional twist.

I simply did a little bit of die-cutting, layered two Manila Tags, one of which had been die-cut with the Christmas Tree #2 CUTplorations Die. I then simply added the glitter tape, pearl, ribbon and my Christmas Blessings sentiment.

If you love tags, why not give it a go and play along? Your project can be anything as long as it features a tag.
