Hi Crafty Friends!

I'm back with a second helping of cards using the Retro Gratitude STAMPcuts by STAMPlorations.

Have a look ...

For my first card combined them with some of the Autumn Cosy Ephemera Cuts popped up against my favourite stencilled retro background using the Tapestry stencil and Ovals Flexi-Template.

My second card uses a bit of background stamping, Art Marks 3, to add a bit of interest and bring my other elements together. My sentiment, ATC and Ephemera Cut were arranged to create one large focal point.

Rounding up today's post:

Try layering and moving elements about. It was this playfulness that led to today's card designs

I found that layered clusters of ATCs and/or Ephemera Cuts provide a perfect balance for the Retro Gratitude STAMPcuts sentiments.

Playfulness is key.

A little card of encouragement today ...

... for those who need to stand out from the crowd. 

I used stamping, masking and a bit of fuzzy cutting in combination with a little ink blending. My card was finished off with some gems.

A Cup Of Roses

Hi Crafty Friends!

Being on a roll with one-layer cards, I made another one using one of the retired STAMPlorations stamps which are now available as digital stamps from their Digital Store here. It's the A Cup Of Roses stamp ...

The roses were coloured using my metallic pencils and the background was sponged using the Ovals Flexi-Template and Kitsch Flamingo DI. I intentionally didn't ink up right to the image as I rather like the little white halo for added dimension. the other advantage is that the image doesn't need to be masked off, one can carefully apply ink close up using small make up brushes.

Again this card should be easy to recreate using the digital stamp. If you wanted to mask the flowers, simply print on copy paper, fuzzy cur and use repositionable double sided tape to adhere the mask in place.

Today I'm joining Tanja for her monthly feature Wednesday - STAMPday over on her blog. We decided to showcase the Ovals Flexi-Template. Here is my make ...

I took inspiration from Maria's Spotlight projects here and here using the ovals for creating a bold background on which to stencil the bamboo with gold texture paint.

A bit of layering and a die-cut sentiment finished my card off.

A friend recently lost his sister. Here is the card i made for him ..

A simply sponged oval for the backdrop of my die-cut poppies finished off with a stamped sentiment and sequins.

Make A Wish

Hi Friends!

I got another balloon card today as my DT piece for the Inspiration Post over on the STAMPlorations blog ...

I aligned the ovals to sponge the frame before using the corresponding oval as a mask and stamping the script and small splatters. Next I layered up my balloon and sentiment, attached them to my card and finished off with sequins.

Sadly, the camera wasn't able to catch the sparkle from my glittery sentiment which I rather liked ... hmmm ... maybe I'll be adding more sparkle to my cards this year. What do you think?

You Are Awesome

Hi Friends!

Just a quick post today sharing my DT piece for the Inspiration Post over on the STAMPlorations blog ...

I've taken a break from Christmas crafting and took my Ovals Flexi-Template out to give it a little play time.

You can see in my post here how I aligned the ovals to sponge my frame. Of course the florals were stamped first and masked off. I finished off with a bit of script stamping, a partially stamped and die-cut sentiment and a couple of sequins.

On A Roll

Hi Friends!

Just a quick post today sharing my DT piece for the Inspiration Post over on the STAMPlorations blog ...

I've gone for a super skinny slimline again. Just loving making these at the moment. As you can tell, I also caught the Making Christmas Cards bug.

Feeling nostalgic I dug out my Joyful set, heat embossed the stocking in gold, watercoloured and fuzzy cut it. I used the smallest oval from the Ovals Flexi-Template to sponge my background and used some of the words from the set for background stamping.

My card was finished off with a touch of glitter glue and a handmade envelope.
