Sending Love

Hello Crafty Friends!

One can never send too much love. It's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations, the perfect opportunity to send you some across the net. This week my teamies and I are showcasing stamps by our very own Deepti under her label 'Dee's Artsy Impressions'.

I decided to work with the Party MatesTweet Love and the Cupcake Builder #2 CUTplorations Dies to create a CAS card. Here it is ...

I've been meaning to make a card like this for a while, combining the cupcake builder dies with the cupcake stamps they are based on.

I simply stamped the border using a little bit of masking, added the die-cut and layered cupcake and stamped the sentiment to finish.

As mentioned earlier, this week we are showcasing stamps designed by Deepti under her label 'Dee's Artsy Impressions'. All her sets will be reduced by 15%, no coupon needed, until Monday 23rd October. For an added 20% off, simply use my personal discount code STAMPGIRLMONIKA at checkout..

Of course Shery will still draw a winner at random from all the comments left on this month's Inspiration Posts over on the STAMPlorations Blog. Pop over to see what my teamies created and to leave a comment for your entry into their prize draw.

That's it from me for today. Have a lovely week!

Be Free - October Stencil Sunday Project

Hello, Crafty Friends!

Welcome to October's Stencil Sunday over at STAMPlorations. May I take the opportunity to remind you of their current Mixed Media Challenge. As you know Anything Mixed Media Goes as long as it is not a card and you use at least one stencil.

My DT contribution for this Stencil Sunday is ... a set of colourful ATCs

I started with some watercolour card, randomly added some torn pieces of newsprint paper and some bits of a negative Lowercase Alphabet die-cut before covering it all with watercolour.

Once dried, I brushed some ink through the Crisscrossed stencil and outlined some of the shapes in black before randomly adding white craft ink

I die-cut my butterflies and spritzed them with gold Artiste ink

I stamped and embossed my sentiments, added the butterflies, doodled an outline and finished of with pearls and sparkly enamel dots.

I am entering these ATCs at:
UK Stampers Forum FB Group - October ATC Swap

Here are a few close-ups ...

I hope you feel inspired to create something different, maybe even do some up-cycling or re-purposing .... why not link it up with the Mixed Media Challenge over at STAMPlorations. The theme is always Anything Mixed Media Goes except cards which means projects such as tags, ATCs, canvases, layouts, art journal pages etc,are perfect for entering, and you must have used at least one stencil (any brand) in your project. The challenge will close at the end of the month. You can find the full challenge details plus more Mixed Media inspiration here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

That's it from me for today. I shall be back soon with another project to share.

Have a lovely day!

Wonderful Life

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. This week my teamies and I are showcasing stamps by Becca under her label 'Big Grins By Becca Cruger'.

I decided to work with Becca's set Wonderful Life to create an uplifting tag. Here it is ...

I die-cut the largest tag from the set and blended with Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo before stamping the sun in Melon Mambo and some of the smaller sentiments from the Wonderful Life set in Daffodil Delight to create my background.

Once dry, I stamped and heat embossed the large framed sentiment, stamped and watercoloured the rainbow and attached it with foam tape. To finish off, I added some doodles, sequin and ribbon.

As mentioned earlier, this week we are showcasing stamps designed by Becca under her label 'Big Grins By Becca Cruger'. All her sets will be on sale at 15% off until Monday 16th October, no coupon needed. You can get an extra 20% off by using my personal discount code STAMPGIRLMONIKA at checkout.

Hello Deer

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am back with another make, this time it's a postcard based on the theme of geometric shapes.

I stamped the deer and coloured it with using a grey brush marker. I then added some outline shapes with a marker using the Prism stencil before adding some watercolour with markers and brush. I added some grey dots, some stamping, white gel pen highlights, a die-cut and stenciled sentiment and finished off with a slice of lime and a doodled border.

As it is a postcard which is meant to be sent 'naked' without envelope, I gave it a protective coat of Mod Podge.

I am entering my postcard at:

Typographia Christmas Release At STAMPlorations

Hello Crafty Friends!

STAMPlorations are celebrating their new Typographia Christmas Range with a Blog Hop today! Yay, more fun to be had!
These bold stamps make for Christmas cards with impact. I just LOVED combining them with dies. Here are my DT projects:

I simply white embossed the Joy To The World stamp, coloured with brush markers, die-cut the tag, doodles a border and added a die-cut Christmas Angel.

For my next card I silver embossed the Silent Night stamp, die-cut the Stitched Winter Landscape into the card front and sponged lightly with Soft Sky ink before piecing it all together again and stamping the star. I fed a piece of paper though the 'slot' to protect the rest of the card during sponging before adding a piece of card to the inside and filling in the bits.

For my last card I stamped the A Child Is Born stamp on a piece of white card, used some star nesting dies I had to die-cut the nested star, pieced it all together, coloured the center star and added rays using the same yellow brush marker.

Whilst I was working with Faith and Carols inspired stamps for today's projects, STAMPlorations Typographia Christmas range offers something for everyone. Check out the graphic below and you'll find sentiments such as Wishing You And Your Family A Blessed ChristmasIt's Christmas In The Heart that Puts Christmas In The AirWarm Christmas Greetings From Across The MilesBelieve In The Miracle Of Christmas and many more.

Fancy joining the celebrations??? Leave a comment and hop along to the STAMPlorations Blog for all the links to the participating designer's blogs. Commenting closes Monday 9th October and the winner, randomly drawn from all the comments left on all participating DT blog posts, of 3 Christams Typographia Stamps of her choice will be announced on or just after Tuesday 10th October. If you don't want to miss the announcement, feel free to follow the STAMPlorations Blog here.

I shall leave you with one last look at my finished projects ....

That's it from me for today. Have a lovely week and Happy Hopping!
