Looking For Rainbows

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I am sharing a tag I made using a set designed by my friend Deepti Malik. It's one of her super cute Kathryn series called Kathryn's Rainbow. I especially love the uplifting sentiments in this set hence I had to splash out and get it. 😇

I simply cut a tag from a black Brusho background I made a while ago, thought the grey was very fitting for a rainy day. I stamped the raindrops and sentiment, stamped, coloured and fuzzy cut Kathryn and her rainbow, attached them and added some dimensional shading, doodles, nail embellies and Stickles to finish.

STAMPlorations Christmas Release Day 5

Hello Crafty Friends!

STAMPlorations are doing a Christmas in August Release. They are releaasing 6 stamp sets and 8 CUTplorations dies and, of course, are celebrating in style with a Blog Hop. Welcome to Day 5!

Today my teamies and I are showcasing the 8 new CUTplorations Dies of which I personaaly am showcasing 4. First up is a little lantern using the Christmas Icons - Christmas Angel die. Here it is:

I used my handmade box template from my Spotlight Post here and tuned it into a lantern by die-cutting the angel and backing the negative with vellum after embossing the panels with the Oh, My Stars! ARTplorations Stencil. To finish I added a touch of gilding wax and Stickles.

Next up is a card using the beautiful Merry Christmas Word Art Die ...

I clear embossed the poinsettia from the Christmas Flower set, cut the sentiment twice from white card, layered as seen and finished off with a couple of clear gems.

Next up is a shaker card using the Christmas Bauble #2 Layering Die ...

I first cut the doodled bauble and then the solid one,attached acetate to the back and pieced them in. I used glass glitter to add to my shaker element and finished off with a die-cut Merry Christmas and a little matching bow.

Next up are three cards using the super gorgeous Christmas Icons - Christmas Tree #2 die ...

I simply assembled all the cut out bits on a sponged background, added a sentiment from the Holiday Artsy set, a doodled line and gems to finish.

This card was made by simply cutting the tree into the base card finishing offwith gems and peel-off sentiment.

My last card turns the tree into a shaker card using silver glass glitter and a peel-off sentiment.

STAMPlorations Christmas Release Day 4

Today we are showcasing two sets designed by STAMPlorations owner Shery under her label Shery Russ Designs. The sets are called Homespun Christmas and Winter Chill.

I was working with the super cute penguins from the Winter Chill set to create this chilled out card. Here it is:

Stamping, watercolouring, fuzzy cutting and a little die-cutting was all that was needed to create this super cute card.

Some Die-Cutting Play Time

Hello Crafty Friends!

Just a very quick post. I got some new dies today and simply had to have a play. Ended up making 3 cards using all the left over bits too! 😁

Here they are:

I used up some Brusho backgrounds I had from a while back, simply die-cut the heart branches, cut them again from white card and layered them up only attaching the branches at the bottom. This gives a great 3D effect without adding bulk. Doodles and stamped sentiments finished the cards off.

This one was made using the left over bit from cutting the white heart branches. Stamped border and sentiment finished the card off.

STAMPlorations Christmas Release Day 3

Hello Crafty Friends!

STAMPlorations are doing a Christmas in August Release. They are releasing 6 stamp sets and 8 CUTplorations dies and, of course, are celebrating in style with a Blog Hop. Welcome to Day 3!

Today we are showcasing two sets designed by Shirley under her label The Bees Knees. They are called Christmas Elf for fun and cheeky cards and Three Kings, a modern traditional set I had the pleasure to work with.

As my DT project, I made a box card for lots of dimension, but folding flat for postage. Here it is:

I cut two pieces of card for the box and scored both ends, blended one with blue and cut the medium crazy stitched rectangle from the other one before cutting my frame using the large and medium rectangles. I die cut the stitched snow hills leaving tabs for attaching on two of them. I stamped coloured and fuzzy cut the kings, houses and star, blended my sand dunes, added some gold foil to the frame and assembled as seen finishing off with some gold Stickles.

I finished my project off with a pocket and tag on the reverse side of my box card.
