I recently treated myself to this cute cat die, picked a piece of scrap card and did a trial cut. It ended up being turned into a card with a couple of scrap strips of card finished off with a little sentiment from a retired set by STAMPlorations.

Catty Day

Just been doing a bit of die-cutting recently and gone all girlie with this card today. It's a bit more fussy than what I normally do, buy with all the trees being in bloom ... how could I resist?

Yet More Bunnies

Hi Crafty Friends!

As you probably guessed, I'm rather besotted with this cute bunny of late. I can't stop finding things to sit him on. 😂 That little pair of Freche Hasen from Charlie Und Paulchen really got my imagination going.

Have a look at my latest make ...

I've been rooting through my stash and came up with some real oldies, Sizzix Originals Cuts 38-1106 Frame, Slide Mounts & Coin Holder. It's one of the first dies I ever got nearly 20 years ago and to my shame it hasn't seen much use. It was one of those I got because the samples in the shop were rather nice ...

... that's until now, something finally clicked. I used one of the four shapes and added some embossing. The stamp for the background comes from a set called Enchanted Woodland which came with a magazine a few years ago, first use of that one. The little heart stems by Impression Obsession is another die I've had for years, at least 6 or 7, with hardly any use. The only thing in my card that has had more use is the peony set by Uniko which includes my chosen sentiment.

Moral of the story ... I need to make more use of my stash. 😁

Birdy Birthday

It's another DL card from me today, I'm rather liking this format at the moment and turned it into a birdy CAS card. Here it is ...

It's simply stamped with an added die-cut bird as focal point and finished off with a few sequins.

Bunny Hugs 1

Hi Crafty Friends!

The cheeky rabbits are back ...

I combined them with a die-cut frame, some hearts and a small sentiment. Hugs are perfect, we all can do with them even in paper form.

The rabbits (Freche Hasen) are by Charlie und Paulchen; frame sentiment and hearts are dies I've had for a while and can't remember where I got them from.

Phone Musings

Hi Friends!

Had to go for another funny card today using Chris' new stamps. My focal point is a coloured ATC from the Retro Fashionistas. The background is stencilled with added leafy stamping. It was finished off with the stamped old fashioned phone from the Gone Postal set.

Bunny Smile

Hi Crafty Friends!

I recently treated myself to a pair of cheeky bunnies dies. They immediately had to be turned into some cute and adorable cards. Here is the first one, using one of the bunnies only.

I added some stamped daffodils as background for a spring feel, just perfect for the sunshine we're having currently here in the UK.

Sunrise Poppy Hugs

Hi Crafty Friends!

I've been playing with dies and inks today to come up with this colourful CAS DL card ...

The colours used for the background are: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay SU inks.

Cutting dies used are: Sunrise Poppy by Memory Box, Basic A2 Panels Nesting Dies by STAMPlorations and hugs word die from ebay.

Embossed Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends!

For today's card I've been playing with Brusho powders, white embossing powder and Tempting Turquoise SU ink. My aim was to create a card with a masculine feel, here it is ...

Stamps I used for the embossing are from this month's Monthly Make Box by Crafty Roo Designs which were combined with some of their texture stamps in Tempting Turquoise for the background.

Kitty Smile

I'm up over on the STAMPlorations blog with a little step-by-step tutorial. Having been musing what to do for this month's post, I wondered how it might be possible to adapt the spotlight colouring technique for stamped images to stencilled images and patterns. Have a look at what I came up with.

I rather liked how my experiment turned out. It will certainly be a technique to add to my toolbox.
