Some More Snark 2

Hi Friends!

Today's card is the female version of yesterday's card ...

Doesn't she just have that look which is perfect for the sentiment?

Couldn't help myself and had to add some stamping to the inside.

Grungy Teenage Birthday

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives. Our guest designer for the next fortnight is Hannelie, you can check out her fabulous creations on here on Hannelie's blog.

My DT project for the new challenge is ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. For challenge #112 we're looking for makes which are inspired by Computers/Gaming. Lots of scope there!

I went for a grungy teenager take of the theme featuring a rough watercolour background with splatters and stamping. The laptop is watercoloured and fuzzy cut. I finished off with doodles and decorative tape.

Fancy creating something for a male person in your life, pop over to The Male Room for more inspiration and to link up your masculine makes.

That's it from me for today
Have a lovely day!

Say Cheese!

Hello Crafty Friends!

If you've seen my previous post, you could be forgiven for thinking that cameras and photography are exclusively for masculine cards. Of course, that doesn't have to be the case, unless you're intending to play along at the current Male Room Craft Challenge.

Following the sketch from Less Is More, I created a decidedly girly card, here it is:

Simple stamping, fuzzy cutting and playing with colour ...

Of course, I am entering my card at Less Is More. STAMPlorations are sponsoring their current challenge and given that Shery is such a lovely 'boss' to create for, I felt I wanted to give her some support outside of my 'DT duties'. All the stamps used are STAMPlorations stamps, you can find the links at the end of my post.

If you like the sketch below and fancy playing along, there is still time to enter.

That's it from me for today
Have a lovely day!

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives. Our guest designer for the next fortnight is Patty, you can check out her fabulous creations on here on Patty's blog

My DT project for the new challenge is this monochromatic B&W card ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. For challenge #93 we are looking for 'Photography and Cameras' inspired projects. Lots of scope there!

Well, I am old enough to remember the old negatives one got from taking photos on film which was my inspiration following this fortnight's theme. I had intended to sneak a camera in somewhere, but somehow it didn't seem to look right.
Instead I focused on the old negative strip, the 'smile' for being on camera and the creative seeing that goes hand in hand with photography. And, of course, a bird had to be in the picture too, especially since I was watching Countryfile at the weekend, where they were judging the photography competition for their yearly calendar.

I am entering my card at Craft Stamper August Make It Take It Challenge.

Fancy creating your 'Photography & Cameras' inspired make, pop over to The Male Room for more inspiration and to link up your masculine makes.

That's it from me for today
Have a lovely day!

Sliding Letters

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Monika here today with a slider card idea using the current Stamp Club set Hello You in combination with the Lacy Edges And Border CUTplorations Dies from today's release and some other favourites named at the end of this post.

There are two cards for you today using a slightly different way of making the slider element with a video for each. First up are the two cards:

The slider element of the first one is slightly wider and it uses a tri-folded card as base and would require you to have a large die-cutting machine such as the Grand Calibur.

In the card the slider element is contained in a large topper, which only requires a Big Shot or Cuttlebug size die-cutting machine. I also slightly modified the with for the envelope to slide out making it easier to attach the laptop over it.

The following photos demonstrate how the envelope slides out from behind the laptop once the tag is being pulled.

Interested on how they were made, check out the full Spotlight Feature including videos here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

That's it from me for today. I shall leave you with one last look at the finished projects.

Have a lovely day!
