Beautiful Dreamer

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.

My DT piece for this week is a set of cards using one of the Faces stencils called Dreamer ...

I used a couple of backgrounds I made for my tutorial here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

For my first card, I sponged the Dreamer face with Cassis Izink ink. I then masked the actual face and lightly blended using the cassis ink before adding some stamped stars and sentiment. I simply finished off with a doodled border and a couple of sequins.

For my second card, I used some Sparkle Medium with the stencil, stamped my sentiment and finished off by distressing one side of my topper only before layering on my base card.

Here is a closer look at both cards ...

Again, I am keeping it short and sweet today. Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out the fabulous projects my teamies made.

That's it from me for now. Have a lovely day and enjoy the sunshine!

Monika

TMR 21st August - Flight

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives. Our guest designer for the next fortnight is Wendy Grawunder, you can check out Wendy's wonderful makes here on her Instagram.

My DT project for the new challenge is ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. As you can see, the theme for challenge #118 is Flight. Lots of scope there!

I decided to play with one of my Woodware stamp sets which I've had for quite a while. I stamped the hot air balloon, clouds and birds and, after colouring, I decided to grunge it up a bit before finishing off with white gel pen doodles and stars.

Fancy creating something for a male person in your life, pop over to The Male Room for more inspiration and to link up your masculine makes.

That's it from me for today
Have a lovely day!

Your Own Kind Of Beautiful

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.

My DT piece for this week this little card ...

Yep, it's a different take on a card I posted the other day for the special release of Deepti's new sets. My background is sponged using the Senecio 1 stencil. The floral silhouettes were stamped in black and shades of grey.

I thought it might be fun to curve one of the sentiment stamps around the word 'beautiful' for a different look. I then finished off with doodles and sequins.

Again, I am keeping it short and sweet today. Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out the fabulous projects my teamies made.

That's it from me for now. Have a lovely day and enjoy the sunshine!

Nature Spirit

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am over on the STAMPlorations Blog with a little tutorial on how I made this card ...

The full tutorial including the products I used can be found here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

The card involved a bit of ink blending using a stencil, the ink left on the stencil was too good to waste. I spritzed it with water and took a print which I used for my card below.

I simply added a bit of stamping, layered on my base card with a frame only showing on three sides and my card was finished.

Before I go, I wanted to give you a Heads Up on a fantastic new subscription Shery has introduced at STAMPlorations:

That's it from me for today. Have a lovely day!

Beautiful You

Hello Crafty Friends!

Over at STAMPlorations, they are releasing two beautiful stamp sets designed by Deepti under her label Dee's Artsy Impressions.

Here they are:

I love silhouette stamps and was lucky to be working with the Beautiful You set. Here are my cards ...

I used a stencil print as the backdrop to my black and grey stamping. As you can see, you easily can build up a larger image by stamping the silhouettes in a cluster.

My next card is simply stamped with added splatters. The Cerise Izink ink and Slate Grey Prism ink gave my stamping a rather dramatic look.

STAMPlorations are celebrating this special release with a little blog hop. Please leave comments along the way for your entry into their random prize draw. All links can be found here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

Commenting is from August 14 to 22. Winners to be announced in the August winners post on September 10.

Prizes:
- ONE (1) winner of a $15 gift code
- ONE (1) winner of her choice of any in-stock Dee's Artsy Impressions stamp set

Winners will be randomly drawn from all comments left on the STAMPlorations Blog and participating designers' blogs.

Here is one last look at my projects ...

Before I go, I wanted to give you a Heads Up on a fantastic new subscription Shery has introduced:

Birthday Sparkles

Hello Crafty Friends!

With the weather having been rainy and blustery recently in the UK, I had a bit of free time for some crafting with some of my Uniko stamps.

I simply did some random stamping using a couple of circles their Mid Century Modern Florals set using Cire and Grenadine Izink inks and finished off with some copper sequins.

Keeping it short and sweet as I shall be back later with some more makes to share.

Comfort Zone

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.

My DT piece for this week uses rainbow colours with a bold Typographia sentiment ...

I tried to use s bit of water bleaching on an inked background (Cerise, Cire, Aurore and Emareude Izink inks), before stamping the floral silhouettes int the background (Verveine and Menthe Izink inks).

To finish, i stamped the Typograhia sentiment and layered on a purple base card.
