Not So Traditional Valentine

Hi Friends!

I'm back with another project. It's one i made for my Spotlight Project Post over at STAMPlorations

It's also the third of my little trilogy featuring the Sketched Hearts Stencil. This Time I used it to frame a little background scene for these love birds. Have a look ...

This card would make a really sweet Valentine's Day card for those who didn't want to use the traditional red hearts and sentiment.
If you want to see how it came together, check out my step-by-step tutorial here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

These are the products I used from STAMPlorations to make my card.

Valentine's Card - another take

Hi Friends!

Here is another take on yesterday's Valentine's card using a slightly different technique ...

Instead of printing the heart like I did in yesterday's card, I simply used the stencil to lightly sponge it before enhancing the edges, still sing the same inks.
Apart from that, the leaves were swapped for florals and the sentiment simply stamped and attached in a different place.

Here are the STAMPlorations products I used in today's card:

Valentine's Card

Hi Friends!

Another week and another helping of lovely projects over at STAMPlorations in the Inspiration Post over on their blog. Here is my DT contributions ...

I used Grenadine and Framboise Izink dye inks with the same printing and sponging technique for the hearts as shown in my Spotlight Post here on the STAMPlorations Blog. I then stamped the full leaves and script in Grenadine and the outline leaves in Framboise to add texture.

My embossed and lightly grunged up sentiment finishes the card off.

December Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends!
Let's welcome December and the start of another round of challenges over at STAMPlorations. Here is my DT piece for this month's Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge ...

The theme for the current challenge is Stamps & Shimmer and the photo prompt can be seen below. Your project can either be inspired by the theme, photo prompt or both. The full challenge rules can be found here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

My card was inspired by both the theme and the photo prompt. The photo itself made me think of Christmas cookies which are represented in the star and the small Christmas trees. The Joyful Christmas Typographia sentiment stamp had roughly a Christmas tree outline and the shimmer comes from the little gem I used to finish my card off.

As for the Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge prizes:
One winner of a $20 gift code will be picked by one member of our DT.
Plus 3 randomly drawn winners will each receive a $7 gift code.

In order to be considered for a prize, make sure you've followed the rules here.

A Dino Christmas

 Hi Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday which means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. Today's project is a little off the wall inspired by a request for a little boy's Christmas card I was asked to make. Here it is, my DT project ...

Dinosaurs surely celebrate Christmas too and this little fellow is on his way home in time for Christmas dinner. You can almost hear him whistling and see him skipping with anticipation.

The background is die-cut with a touch of added glitter using the Stitched Winter Landscape and Stitched Snow Hills dies. The sentiment has been made up with a little help from the retired Holiday Artsy set.
