Weekend Travels

Hi Crafty Friends!

I got a little card for you today. It's celebrating summer, holidays and travel. Have a look ...

I used a combination of stamps from STAMPlorations, Craft Stamper magazine and the Creative Stamping Magazine. Sometimes it's just nice to mix things up a little bit.

The background arcs were created with the Circles Flexi-Template and Aurore, Cire and Cerise Izink inks.
I watercoloured and fuzzy cut the camper van, added a die-cut tree and stamped the sentiment and flowers in Elegant Eggplant SU ink.

Camper van stamp - Craft Stamper magazine
Sentiment stamp - Creative Stamping magzine

and here are the STAMPlorations products I used in today's card:

Should you feel like browsing STAMPlorations' shop, check out their latest offer below.

I shall be back soon with another make. Until then ... have a lovely weekend!

Stamping Magic

Hello Crafty Friends!

The new issue of the Creative Stamping Magazine landed on my doorstep just in time for a spot of crafting over the festive period.

May I introduce you to my spruced up 2020 diary ...

This is the front cover featuring the tree (issue 80 Cover stamps), white embossed on a rainbow background with sentiments and texture stamps by STAMPlorations.

Below you can find the reverse of the cover. I added s few smudges and streaks with a baby wipe.

Below you can see the layout of the inside. The shop bought diary on the right hand side has been jazzed up with a bit of black embossing ...

... and the left hand side has two pockets for envelopes and note cards plus a pen holder.

Keeping it short and sweet. Have a lovely day!

TMR 16th October - Halloween

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives. Our guest designer for the next fortnight is Tina, you can check out her fabulous creations on here on Tina's blog.

My DT project for the new challenge is ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. As you can see, the theme for challenge #122 is Halloween. Lots of scope there!

To be honest, I'm not really a Halloween type of person, and I had to do some serious rooting through my stash to find something suitable ... but that doesn't mean that I can't wish my better half a happy, haunted Halloween.

Fancy creating something for a male person in your life, pop over to The Male Room for more inspiration and to link up your masculine makes.

That's it from me for today

Autumn for me is symbolised by colourful leaves. I used some stamps from a past issue of the Creative Stamping Magazine and some colourful Izink inks to stamp my card front.

Nature Spirit

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am over on the STAMPlorations Blog with a little tutorial on how I made this card ...

The full tutorial including the products I used can be found here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

The card involved a bit of ink blending using a stencil, the ink left on the stencil was too good to waste. I spritzed it with water and took a print which I used for my card below.

I simply added a bit of stamping, layered on my base card with a frame only showing on three sides and my card was finished.

Before I go, I wanted to give you a Heads Up on a fantastic new subscription Shery has introduced at STAMPlorations:

That's it from me for today. Have a lovely day!

TMR 10th July - Christmas In July

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives. Our guest designer for the next fortnight is Angie Cimbalo, you can check out her fabulous creations on here on Angie's blog.

My DT project for the new challenge is ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. As you can see, the theme for challenge #115 is Christmas In July. Lots of scope there!

To be honest, I am not in the habit of making Christmas cards in July. It is my birthday month and as such a Christmas free zone, and I'd normally like to keep it like that ... but then hey, there are always exceptions.

However it did take a while for me to get into the groove ... B&W is always a great colour scheme for masculine cards.

Taking The Scenic Route

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives. Our guest designer for the next fortnight is Asa, you can check out her fabulous creations on here on Asa's blog.

My DT project for the new challenge is ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. For challenge #110 is Add An Age. Lots of scope there!

Well, I went for the mature and young at heart male in form of my brother who celebrates his 60th birthday this year. He loves his motorbike and regularly takes it on holiday! 😀

I love collage stamping, it's great for one-layer cards which this one is apart from the added age. I started off by spreading some ink (Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise) on my craft mat, lightly spritzing it with water and mopping it up with my base card. The rest is simple stamping with the addition of splatters and a die-cut 60.

Flowers Grow

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives. Our guest designer for the next fortnight is Nancy, you can check out her fabulous creations on here on Nancy's blog.

My DT project for the new challenge is ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. For challenge #108 it's Spring with the optional twist of 'no patterned paper'. Lots of scope there!

My inspiration around Spring came from the start of the gardening season, planting out seeds and watching them grow into sturdy plants. The sketchy look of the flowers and the stamped splatters for colouring made them very suitable for a contemporary masculine card.

I am entering my card at:
AAA Cards - CAS Game #137 - Made in Minutes, optional twist dry embossing

My card was super quick to make. I literally only had 5 minutes before Nick needed my help setting fence posts.

Just Playing

Hello Crafty Friends!

Just a quick post from me today sharing a card I made whilst playing with Uniko's Background Builders: Vines Winter stamps ...

I die-cut a little angular panel and decided to stamp the vines around it. The sentiment looked best being stamped on the panel itself.

I am entering my card at:
CAS Colours & Sketches #301 - Seasonal Colours, choose a 2018 colour combination and make it seasonal, I went for Challenge #275 - June 5, 2018 and used the closest colours I had in my stash

Uniko Challenge #50 - celebrate with optional twist gold , still not playing the optional twist. I'll just have to make another card, I guess. 😁

Keeping it short and sweet again. Thanks for stopping by.

Have a lovely day!
