Feel Better Soon

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.  Today's card was inspired by a healing meditation I listened to the other day ...

I used Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise inks and started with the Daffodil Delight in the center for my glowing light before surrounding it with the Melon Mambo and a touch of Tempting Turquoise around the edges to blend the purple. I the trimmed my panel to size leaving on of the white border strips at the bottom.

Cherry Blossom can be a sign of Spring, new growth and beginnings ... life returning to a new cycle.
The die-cut sentiment finishes my card.

Sunny Days

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.  I thought I'd try and spread a little Spring cheer. After a long and dark Winter we'e had almost a week of sunny weather now. Turns out the sun is still there, we just didn't see much of it. I am sure this is something I'll have to keep in mind during the months to come ...

Sunshine always help brighten the spirit no matter how difficult things seem. Pastels seem to be around everywhere I look. I went with Apple Green, Camellia Pink and Periwinkle Prism inks to stamp the Bloomdala Bliss background with the addition of some dots from Folk Flowers.

I added a white matting layer reflective of the uncertain times ahead, a blank canvas for many ... and we all know how daring they can be! A sentiment from Bloom Happy and some sequins finished my card off.

Brighten Your Day

Hi Crafty Friends!

I'm back sharing another few cards. Today I'm using the Brighten Your Day stamps and the Hip Hip Hooray stencil by Hunkydory Crafts. The set was a gift from Cardmaking & Papercraft for having one of my cards published on their reader's page in issue 207 which is out today.

Here are a few CAS makes hoping to brighten your day!

Bee-Day

Hi Crafty Friends!

How about something cute and sketchy today?

Waterfall cards seem to have become popular again hence I felt that it might be time to refresh my memory of how to make one. A link to this tutorial from Papercraft Essentials landed recently in my inbox. What better way to get started ...

I rooted around in my stash for some smallish Springtime stamps and ended up digging out Bertie Bee!, Bee-Happy and Flowers Grow! stamps by Crafty Roo Designs plus some card and paper by Stampin'Up! to start. I later added a few punched daisies using the small daisy punch by Xcut and a die-cut edge using a die from the ATC/Tag Builder Die Set by STAMPlorations.

Here is the finished project ...

That's it from me for today.

Life Happens

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.  I thought I'd share a card to hopefully lift some spirits. Here it is ...

I used one of Helen's new stencils, Petals 3, for my background sponged with Butterscotch Prism ink. The cupcake was die-cut and layered. I even managed to use up some bits left over from when I made my Spotlight projects for this post here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

I created my sentiment by snipping off the word 'coffee' from one of the Coffee Time stickers and replaced it with a heat embossed 'cake'. All that was left to do was to finish my card with a couple of black pearls and rounded corners.

Introducing New ARTplorations Stencils

Hi Crafty Friends!

Over at STAMPlorations they are releasing 6 new stencils designed by Helen under her label Helen G Designs. In true style they are celebrating with a blog hop.

Before I give further details, let's first have a look at the new stencils ...

preview-brick-wall preview-clouds preview-rubber-bands

preview-petals1 preview-petals2 preview-petals3

Aren't they amazing? I really loved working with them. Here are my makes ...

In my first card, I used the Petals 1 stencil to highlight the negative Perched Bird die-cut ...

... my next card uses the Clouds stencil for the background and the Petals 3 stencil to add interest to my die-cut bird ...

... my last card uses the Rubber Bands and Brick Wall stencils to create a funky background for my stamped bird.

As always with a blog hop, there are prizes to be won. Two winners will be randomly drawn from all the comments left on the STAMPlorations blog and all the participating designers' blogs, links to which can be found here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

One crafter will win all 6 of Helen's new stencils and the second winner will win 3 of the new stencils (winner's choice).

Commenting finishes on Wednesday 8th April and the winners will be announced in the March Winners post over on the STAMPlorations Blog on Friday 10th April, just in time for Easter.

Here is one last look at my projects ...

Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog for more stencil inspiration and to join the blog hop.
Wishing you a wonderful day!
