Happy Thoughts

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.  Here is today's DT project ...

This is another take on the cards I made for last week's Spotlight Project using the Bloom Succulently Stencil. I added the script and splatters from Mixed Media Elements for a different look, all in Daffodil Delight SU ink.

I finished off with sequins and  a sentiment from the Bloom Happy set in Miel Izink ink.

This month STAMPlorations are having a Dies and Slimline Stencils Sale, at "5% and 20% off respectively. You can check out the full details here on their shop's Promotions Page. Why not pop over and have a little browse.

Should you find yourself placing an order, feel free to use my personal discount code STAMPGIRLMONIKA at checkout for a 20% discount on your order. Please note that my discount code can not be combined with any other coupon code, but you can use it as often as you wish. I've got to be honest, if you use the code and/or the link to the STAMPlorations Shop I provide in my posts for your purchases, I will get a little reward.

That's it from me for today. Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out my teamies' beautiful makes.

Hope you're having a lovely week!

Sunny Days

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.  I thought I'd try and spread a little Spring cheer. After a long and dark Winter we'e had almost a week of sunny weather now. Turns out the sun is still there, we just didn't see much of it. I am sure this is something I'll have to keep in mind during the months to come ...

Sunshine always help brighten the spirit no matter how difficult things seem. Pastels seem to be around everywhere I look. I went with Apple Green, Camellia Pink and Periwinkle Prism inks to stamp the Bloomdala Bliss background with the addition of some dots from Folk Flowers.

I added a white matting layer reflective of the uncertain times ahead, a blank canvas for many ... and we all know how daring they can be! A sentiment from Bloom Happy and some sequins finished my card off.

If you feel like bagging yourself a bargain and take advantage of STAMPlorations' Springtime Sale check out the graphic at the end of this post.

Oh, Happy Day!

Hello Crafty Friends!

I've been playing today doing some colouring ....

This is how I felt when I downloaded this beautiful bloomdala sampler digi stamp. It's a freebie and can be found here on the STAMPlorations Blog. They are having a Linky Party to celebrate World Colouring Book Day.

I simply coloured the sampler, added some gel pen high lights, fuzzy cut around it, layered it on my Crumb Cake base card, added a sentiment and finished off with a doodled border.

I am entering my card at:
STAMPlorations National Coloring Book Day Linky Party
Crafty Calendar - Anything Goes
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes (please be aware that I am on the STAMPlorations DT)

Keeping it short and sweet. Hope you're having a lovely day.

Happy Day

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. The theme for this month is SPRING hence I decided to work with the Framed Cherry Blossom stamp and combined it with a sentiment from Bloom Happy.

I tried taking a leaf out of Shery's book and used one of the splatter sets from the Art Marks set to add colour to my stamped image. I finished off with a stamped sentiment and a couple of embossed lines in the top right hand and the bottom left hand corners. The top ones sadly aren't visible in the photo even when zooming in.

I am entering my card at:
AAA Cards - CAS Game #137 - Made in Minutes, optional twist dry embossing

Selected products in the STAMPlorations store are on sale at 25% off during April, no coupon needed. Please check out the Spring Fling section for this offer. Using my personal discount code STAMPGIRLMONIKA at checkout can give you an added 20% off.

That's it from me for today. Hope my little card inspired you to get creative. Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out the fabulous projects my teamies created.

More Happy Thoughts

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I am sharing a quick card with you, simply stamped and fuzzy cut using the Bloom Happy and Best Mom Ever sets with a little help from the Prisms ARTplorations Stencil, all by STAMPlorations.

For the background I inked up a piece of card, let it thoroughly dry, sprinkled crimson brusho through the stencil, spritzed with water and allowed tor dry. The rest was simple assembly and doodling finishing off with a touch of glitter glue.

Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog for more Roundup Inspiration.

Happy Eli

Hello Crafty Friends!

Just a quick post from me today to share my DT project for the Inspiration Round-Up Post over at STAMPlorations. It is a card I started off a few weeks ago, but then it came to a stop until I picked it up the other day to add the little elephant and hearts ... here it is ....

I started the card off with one of my brusho makes, I had placed the Just Squares ARTplorations Stencil on a piece of watercolour card, sprinkled it with turquoise brusho and spritzed with water. Once dry I stamped some blooms from the Big Bloom Factory set in Tempting Turquoise and added the sentiment from the Bloom Happy set. That's where I got stuck and left it. when I picked it up again the other day, I had stamped and die-cut the little eli from a piece of black brusho coloured card, placed it on my half finished card and liked it. Before attaching little eli, I stamped the two black hearts from the Frames And Flowers set and created a light shadow using blue chalks.

Here is another look at the finished card ...

That's it from me. Hope you feel inspired to pick up one of your started projects and finish it in unexpected ways.

Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog for more inspiration and to leave a comment for your entry in their prize draw.

I shall be back on Sunday with a great up-cycling idea.
Have a lovely day!

Hugs

Flowers Bloom

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday which means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. As my DT piece I made a bold and cheerful card using the large buttercup from the Buttercups And Butterflies set in combination with a sentiment from the Bloom Happy set .... oh ... and of course a little bit of die-cutting thrown into the mix too.

I just love that big bold buttercup! Actually I do love buttercups full stop, they are so bright and cheerful and look extremely nice in the hedgerows and roadsides out in Wales where we tend to spend quite a bit of time over the summer. Back to my card, here is how it was made:

  • die-cut a coloured panel using the small one of the CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangles Nesting Dies (I used a piece of card which I had coloured mopping up some ink or Brusho from my craft mat. I tend to collect them as I go along, they make great backgrounds or starting points for mixed media work)
  • stamp the large buttercup 4 times in Archival ink and colour with watercolours
  • use the Buttercup Coordinating Die to die-cut the buttercups and snip off the stem
  • stamp the sentiment from the Bloom Happy set, cut out and edge with black
  • layer as shown on a linen effect base card
That's it, easy and quick. For more inspiration, pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog where my teamies have prepared real eye candy for you. Whilst there, you can also leave a comment for your entry into their monthly prize draw.

That's it from me for today, I shall be back tomorrow with a very interesting Spotlight Feature and of course with my DT contribution the CUTplorations Christmas Release and Linky Party. See you there.

Have a lovely day!

CASEplorations August Reminder

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today's post is a little reminder that it is still time to play with us at the August CASEplorations Challenge over at STAMPlorations. This month we are CASEing this stunning card by Vijaylaxmi Siyal better known as Shalu from All By Heart Creations.

Shalu posted about her card on her blog here, if you want to check it out. Have a look, what can you see?

  • bold strips, appearing black to me, but on reading Shalu's post, I discovered they were navy blue
  • flowers
  • silver embossing and threat
  • sequins
  • focal pop of colour, provided by the orange flowers
Here is what I made of it ...

I went for the bold stripes which I made using an orange Caran D'Ache Crayon on a piece of ink blended card cut with the medium CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Die. The rest is pretty easy ... stamp out and die cut the buttercups from the Buttercups And Butterflies set and Coordinating CUTplorations Dies and attach to your topper. Stamp and cut out a sentiment from the Bloom Happy set, pop it up in place, layer your topper on a linen effect base card and finish off with a touch of Stickles on the buttercups.

Looking forward to seeing your creations inspired by Shalu's card. You can link them up here on the STAMPlorations Blog.
Back again soon.

Have a lovely day!
