Quick Tags

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. Remember the tags from my last Spotlight Project here? Well I finished them for today's post.

Here they are ...

The tags are on a ready printable sheet in PDF format and fit with the Stitched Tags Nesting Dies.

TIP!: Our A4 format in the UK is slightly different from the page size of the PDF. I simply make sure that the Fit To Size option is un-ticked before printing. That way the original formatting of the PDF file is retained and the images still fit with the appropriate size nesting die.

I simply added some colourfully embossed sentiments and ribbon.

The cups from the Holiday Lattes set make lovely tags too, they need re-sizing first. For those who've never used digi stamps before, I got a little screenshot tutorial at the end of my post using Google Docs. No need to have special photo editing software.

Again, I am keeping it short and sweet today. Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out the fabulous projects my teamies made.

That's it from me for now. Have a lovely day!

Here is my little step-by-step:

I like making 'master pages' with a few images on using the rulers at the top and the side to judge the image size, see the pink arrows. If I want multiple of the same image, I simply copy and paste the adjusted image until I got as many as I like to have.

I am using Google Docs on my Chromebook which is very similar to Word on Windows.

First I open a new document and set the margins to 1 cm. I then use the insert image option to get my digis on the page.

To start with they are rather large, and I use one of the corner points to resize them. Simply point your mouse on one of the points and it will turn into a double pointed diagonal arrow. Click, hold and move towards the middle ...

... until you reached the desired size. You are now ready to copy and paste your image multiple times. This way you always have the right size image to cut masks from, if needed. Enjoy!

Elf At Work

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's November and Tracey McNeely is hosting the 25 Days Of Christmas Tags celebrations. Today it's STAMPlorations turn. Given that I am part of their DT, I was able to take part in this event.

My project using STAMPlorations products is this shaker tag .....

I used the largest of the Stitched Tags in combination with one of their Basic A2 Panel Dies in combination with the Christmas Elf stamp set, their new Christmas Sentiments Dies and the Oh, My Stars! Mini Stencil. Links to all products can be found at the end of my post.

I started off by cutting the tag twice from white card and once from acetate. I stamped the elf legs on one of the tags, masked them off and sponged with Daffodil Delight SU ink before cutting the panel and sponging the stars around the legs.

I attached the panel in place as shown to match with my yellow frame tag. I was using Flower Soft, something I had for ages, as my snow and only needed a shallow pocket hence it didn't matter that I attached the piece of card to my base tag. It actually helped with aligning the 3D sticky tape to my base tag.

STAMPlorations owner Shery has a little surprise for you, pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog and leave a comment for your entry in the prize draw and your chance to win the Christmas Sentiment Dies my teamies and I used in our tags today.

I added the stamped holly, layered up my tag, added my sentiments and finished off with gold ribbon and a couple of coloured bells.

Pop over to Tracey's Blog for more tag inspiration from my teamies and all the other wonderful crafters who have contributed so far.

I shall leave you with a last look art my project ...

Have a lovely day!

June TAGplorations

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's 1st Tuesday in June and the start of a new TAGplorations Challenge over at STAMPlorations.

The theme for June is: All About Dad
The optional twist is: to use a Stencil

Here is my DT project ...

As you can see, I went for the optional twist and used a stencil to add some sponged detail. The rest of the background has been stamped on a tag I cut from a piece of card I used to mop up some left over ink from my craft mat. It had been sitting in my 'left over bits' box for a while.

I finished off by adding a bit of decorative tape, stars, paper clip, heart, some white doodles and a piece of ribbon.

If you love tags, why not give it a go and play along? Your project can be anything as long as it features a tag. You can enter as many projects as you want, but one per blog post please, and you don't have to use STAMPlorations products, yet we'd be thrilled if you would. There is currently a free image to download at STAMPlorations Never ending Anything Goes Challenge here. Please check out the full revised challenge guidelines here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

One lucky winner, voted for by the DT, will win a $15 STAMPlorations gift certificate and 3 randomly picked players will win a $5 STAMPlorations gift certificate each.

May TAGplorations Reminder

Hello Crafty Friends!

May's TAGplorations Challenge is in full swing over at STAMPlorations. There is still time to play along ...

The theme for May is: All About Mom
The optional twist is: to use Vellum

Here is my artsy looking tag ....

It doesn't need much colouring, just a little bit on the butterflies.

I used the Fluttery Garden digi stamps, resized them and printed out two, one was for a full card front, which I cut the tag from, and the other one was for half a card front, which I needed for the layered butterfly.

Next I pencil coloured the butterflies and wings and added splatters using my spritzing inks. I heat embossed and die-cut my sentiment, added the fuzzy cut butterfly and finished off with ribbon and candy dots.

It's A Brew-tiful Day TAGplorations Reminder

Hello Crafty Friends!

Have you played yet? April's TAGplorations Challenge is in full swing over at STAMPlorations.

The theme for April is: All About Recycling
The optional twist is: to use Tissue Paper

Something new, something old .... Again, I've taken some of the new digi stamps for a test run this month I used one of the Coffee And Roses digis, resized and printed it before cutting the tag. My printer card is rather thin hence I layered it on another tag cut from recycled packaging card Shery used for my last order. I combined it with a bit of recycled tissue paper from packaging used in the little local boutique to wrap the new dress I got from Nick. Have a look ....

Inspire

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's 1st Tuesday in April and the start of a new TAGplorations Challenge over at STAMPlorations.

The theme for April is: All About Recycling
The optional twist is: to use Tissue Paper

Something new, something old .... I've taken some of the new digi stamps for a test run this month, and the anemone tag is one of them. I combined it with recycled card and tissue paper from packaging for the bottom tag. Have a look ....

The anemone is watercoloured with Twinkling H2Os. The bottom tag has been edged with some black stamping.
