June TAGplorations Reminder

Hello Crafty Friends!

Just a gentle reminder that the TAGplorations Challenge is in full swing over at STAMPlorations ... and there is still time to play.

The theme for June is: All About Dad

The optional twist is: to use a Stencil

Here is my DT project ...

As you can see, I went for the optional twist and used a stencil to add some sponged dotty detail. My tag is a simple one-layer tag with masked and stamped fancy birthday cakes. It's finished off with some paper ribbon.

If you love tags, why not give it a go and play along? Your project can be anything as long as it features a tag. You can enter as many projects as you want, but one per blog post please, and you don't have to use STAMPlorations products, yet we'd be thrilled if you would. It's Your Birthday!

Continuing the Birthday Celebrations over st STAMPlorations and my B&W with a pop of colour scheme this week, I made another one-layer card for this week's Inspiration post DT project ...

I used the silhouette stamp from Sweet & Sassy Dad and combine it with the balloon and sentiment from Kathryn's Big Wishes. The dots have been stamped with Grenadine Izink ink.

June TAGplorations

It's 1st Tuesday in June and the start of a new TAGplorations Challenge over at STAMPlorations.

The theme for June is: All About Dad

The optional twist is: to use a Stencil

Here is my DT project ...

As you can see, I went for the optional twist and used a stencil to add some sponged detail. The rest of the background has been stamped on a tag I cut from a piece of card I used to mop up some left over ink from my craft mat. It had been sitting in my 'left over bits' box for a while.

I finished off by adding a bit of decorative tape, stars, paper clip, heart, some white doodles and a piece of ribbon.

More Poinsettias

It's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. Today's project is a quick and easy card, another one of my 'no Christmas stamps' cards, here it is ...

Of course I had to use a Christmas sentiment. I simply gold embossed one of the flower stamps from the Bloom Doodles set to make the poinsettias. They were coloured using brush markers and water brush. The idea was to keep thing easy hence the white frame around the silhouette.

Dad's Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. This week my teamies and I are showcasing stamps by Becca under her label 'Big Grins By Becca Cruger'.

I decided to work with the Sweet & Sassy Dad to treat you to another Christmas card using a non-Christmas stamp ...

I did have a little sentiment help from the retired Holiday Artsy set. Otherwise it's simple stamping with the red paper ribbon providing a pop of colour. The added die-cut pine twig which I had lying around gives it a little Christmas flair.
