TMR 30th October - Pirates

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives. Our guest designer for the next fortnight is Nancy, you can check out her fabulous creations on here on Nancy's blog.

My DT project for the new challenge is ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. As you can see, the theme for challenge #123 is Pirates. Lots of scope there!

i did not have a pirate stamp in my possession, and crafting on a budget, I didn't really want to buy one. This little cutie was free from makebreaks.com which was rather welcome. I coloured it using my metallic pencils.

Fancy creating something for a male person in your life, pop over to The Male Room for more inspiration and to link up your masculine makes.

That's it from me for today
Have a lovely day!

Thankful

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. For today's project I am sharing a little Thankful card. Here it is ...

One doesn't seem to see much vintage-y distressed looking cards around nowadays. Nevertheless I felt like making one with stamped leaves in the background. The little pumpkin and apple basket got coloured using watercolour pencils. I lightly shaped it and popped it up on my card using 3D foam pads.

Just giving you a little heads up, the Many Blessings Stamp & Die Set I used in my project is among the selected stamps on offer in the STAMPlorations shop this month at 25% off using code TAKE25 and the Phrase Die I used is on offer at 30% off using code DIES30 at checkout..
You can check out all their current promotions here.

Again, I am keeping it short and sweet today. Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out the fabulous projects my teamies made.

That's it from me for now. Have a lovely day!
hugs
Monika

Never Be Afraid

Hi Crafty Friends!

Just sharing a little card I made using some of the trees I coloured a while ago and shared on IG in combination with a messy background I made when playing with Shirley's new set.

For the background, I first stamped the solid layers from the Layered Cake Bake and spritzed with water before stamping the outlines. It didn't quite turn out how I imagined it might, so I kept going and added some stencilling and more stamping and colouring before attaching my trees and sentiment.

I am keeping it short and sweet today. Thanks for stopping by. Have a lovely day!

The Best Day Ever

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Release and Celebration Time this week over at STAMPlorations as they are having their belated 6th Birthday Celebrations and releasing a few new products too.

Day 5 is dedicated to 2 new Cover Plate Dies.

Here are today's projects ...

For my first card, I used watercolour pencils to colour the gifts and some of the swirls before spritzing with water. Once dry I simply layered the black die-cut on my topper and added my sentiment.

For my next card, I spritzed my die-cut with cyan and yellow watercolour, layered on kraft card and finished off with a white embossed sentiment.

I was working with the Zen Doodle Birthday Gifts Cover Plate Die, here is a look at both of the new dies ...

Birthday Stickers

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Release and Celebration Time this week over at STAMPlorations as they are having their belated 6th Birthday Celebrations and releasing a few new products too.

Day 4 is dedicated to introducing a few new Clear Stickers.

Here are today's projects ...

Well, I used Shirley's new set in an unconventional, rather abstract way in combination with a sticker to create my background and finished off with a fuzzy cut candle and die-cut heart and sentiment.

The birthday sticker is coloured with alcohol markers and the cake swirls were stamped using archival ink.

For my last card, I stamped a label using the cake set as a background for my coloured sticker.

I was working with these two sets of stickers ...

Life Is Short

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Release and Celebration Time this week over at STAMPlorations as they are having their belated 6th Birthday Celebrations and releasing a few new products too.

Day 3 is dedicated to Sanna's new stencils.

Here are today's projects ...

For my first card, I used the technique I shared earlier this month here in my Spotlight Project on the STAMPlorations Blog. I simply moved the stencil around to get 3 of the flowers in a position I wanted them to be in. To finish, I added some splatters and stamped my sentiment.

For my next card, I masked off part of the stencil and used some ink for blending.

Here, I partially sponged the stencil and finished off with one of the new stickers we'll be introducing tomorrow. The sticker was coloured with alcohol markers.

My last card again uses the watercolour pencil technique for the background with a bit of stamping. die-cutting and another one of the new stickers.

I was working with these two stencil beauties ...
