Say Cheese!

Hello Crafty Friends!

If you've seen my previous post, you could be forgiven for thinking that cameras and photography are exclusively for masculine cards. Of course, that doesn't have to be the case, unless you're intending to play along at the current Male Room Craft Challenge.

Following the sketch from Less Is More, I created a decidedly girly card, here it is:

Simple stamping, fuzzy cutting and playing with colour ...

Of course, I am entering my card at Less Is More. STAMPlorations are sponsoring their current challenge and given that Shery is such a lovely 'boss' to create for, I felt I wanted to give her some support outside of my 'DT duties'. All the stamps used are STAMPlorations stamps, you can find the links at the end of my post.

If you like the sketch below and fancy playing along, there is still time to enter.

That's it from me for today
Have a lovely day!

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives. Our guest designer for the next fortnight is Patty, you can check out her fabulous creations on here on Patty's blog

My DT project for the new challenge is this monochromatic B&W card ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. For challenge #93 we are looking for 'Photography and Cameras' inspired projects. Lots of scope there!

Well, I am old enough to remember the old negatives one got from taking photos on film which was my inspiration following this fortnight's theme. I had intended to sneak a camera in somewhere, but somehow it didn't seem to look right.
Instead I focused on the old negative strip, the 'smile' for being on camera and the creative seeing that goes hand in hand with photography. And, of course, a bird had to be in the picture too, especially since I was watching Countryfile at the weekend, where they were judging the photography competition for their yearly calendar.

I am entering my card at Craft Stamper August Make It Take It Challenge.

Fancy creating your 'Photography & Cameras' inspired make, pop over to The Male Room for more inspiration and to link up your masculine makes.

That's it from me for today
Have a lovely day!

Celebrating Little Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well, I am back with an Inspiration project for STAMPlorations.

Today the bouquet from the Newlyweds Extras came out to play ....

Sometimes we tend to forget about the little stamps in our stash, yet they can make a big impact, especially on a CAS card.

I saw the sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch, where I shall be entering my card, and felt it was just right for showcasing one of my little stamps.

The bouquet was teamed up with the die-cut Birthday Wishes, coloured and finished off with gem and sequins.

Throughout August and September STAMPlorations are having 15% off on all stamps, stencils and dies in their on-line store on Tuesdays only, no coupon needed. This offer can be combined with my personal discount code STAMPGIRLMONIKA to give you an added 20% off taking the total discount to 35%, just saying ....

That's it from me for today. Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog for more card making/crafting inspiration from my teamies. Have a lovely week!

Smile

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well, I am back with an Inspiration project for STAMPlorations.

Today the cheeky Little Monsters came out to play ....

I think this purple monster is just adorable. Mainly watercoloured with a bit of stamping in the background, doodles and a sentiment from Noteworthy 4, this tag was quite a lot of fun to make.

I hope, it makes you smile!

Go Wild!

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives. Our guest designer for the next fortnight is Steph, you can check out her fabulous creations on here on Steph's blog

My DT project for the new challenge is this posrcard ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. For challenge #92 we are looking for 'Wild & Free' inspired projects. Lots of scope there!

When I saw the theme, I immediately picked up my Creative Stamping Mag from a couple of months ago. They had included some stamps which were perfect for this fortnight's theme.

The background is simply sponged with a bit of stamping, the elephants are stamped coloured and fuzzy cut. I simply didn't fancy doing any masking.

Fancy creating your 'Wild & Free' inspired make, pop over to The Male Room for more inspiration and to link up your masculine makes.

Have a lovely day!

Celebrating The Great Outdoors

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well, I am back with an Inspiration project for STAMPlorations.

It is all looking a little different this week as we have decided to make some Art Coins, little circular pieces of art with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches or 6.3 cm. Here are mine ...

Inspired by the Great Outdoors, they all have titles. Starting from the left: 'Discover Your Own Paradise', 'Always Take The Scenic Route' and 'Adventure Lives Outside Your Tent'

A bit of sponging, stamping, watercolouring and fuzzy cutting decorated with a few floral nail embellishments and a touch of glitter .....

Beauty In Simple Things

Hello Crafty Friends!

I had some easy playtime today with a bit of therapeutic colouring using the Originally Organic set by Uniko.

A simple one-layer card was the result ...

Of course, I had to add some doodles too. 😁The flower and sentiment are white embossed and coloured with pencils. A few gems are adding a little sparkle.

Keeping it short and sweet today. Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

A Splash Of Colour

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well, I am back with an Inspiration project for STAMPlorations.

Have you seen their new Stamp Club set Art Expressions? Well, I was playing with it yesterday making projects for my Spotlight Post on their blog tonight. What can I say ... I dived into the inky pot of rainbow colours.

Have a look, here is a little taster as my piece of inspiration ....

This sketchy look one-layer card is basically stamped in black Memento to which I added some colour using alcohol markers. I then finished off with a doodled border and sequins.

I think it would work well as a 'Get Well Soon' card or simply to cheer someone up.

Throughout July, August and September STAMPlorations are having 15% off on all stamps, stencils and dies in their on-line store on Tuesdays only, no coupon needed. Celebrating 5 Years of The Male Room Craft Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends!

Happy 5th Birthday, The Male Room! Can you believe it, 5 year ago Jacqueline started what has become a popular fortnightly challenge.

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives.

My DT project for the new challenge is this simple stamped one-layer card ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. For challenge #91 we are looking for Birthday Projects. Lots of scope there!

Rooting through my stash to get some inspiration, I came across this FAT CAT stamp set, a magazine cover gift I've had for ages ....

It inspired me to try a a quickly sketched look hence the doodles and the rough colouring using brush markers. I feel, it's perfect for a male birthday card .... What do you think?

Fancy creating your 'Birthday' make, pop over to The Male Room for more inspiration and to link up your masculine makes.
