This is the second card using a snowflakes stencil print ...

... and, of course, my favourite polar bear by LOTV had to come out for a play. Doodled border, die-cut sentiment (from a magazine) and a touch of glitter finished my card off.

Magical Polar Bear

Hi Crafty Friends!

I was playing a little bit more with my Media Plates by John Next Door using ink which was left on my brayer when making yesterday's card ...

Working on the plate after applying this left over ink, I used the Mini Snowflake Texture stamp to pick up some of the ink from the plate and randomly stamp in a different place onto my plate before picking the pattern up with a piece of card ... that's how my background came to be. BTW inks used for the background were Speckled Egg and Picked Raspberry DIs

To finish I simply stamped my polar bear by LOTV and sentiment by STAMPlorations, added some shading with Tumbled Glass Di and some glitter too.

Peace On Earth

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today's card features a cute polar bear by Lili Of The Valley, LOTV. Have a look ...

The sentiment is from a set which came with a magazine and it was stamped to ground my image. After the stamping, I simply added a bit of Tumbled Glass DI with a watercolur brush, glitter and a gem to finish.

1st Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today I'm sharing a cute little birthday card made earlier this month for someone's 1st birthday ...

The little foxes are from a set called Hello Pumpkin by Lili Of The Valley, the sentiment is from a set by Crafty Roo Designs and the alphabet dies are from Memory Box.

The colouring was done using a mix of ink blending and watercolouring with brush markers. Of course,the envelope and wrapping paper was decorated using the foxes from the stamp set too.

Life Will Blossom

Hi All,

last post for today with a one-layer card using up some stash of pre-folded larger than I would normally use cards ...

I simply stamped the sentiment from Lili Of The Valley, added the dogwood from STAMPlorations (a smaller version can be found in their set here) and doodled some etching style lines instead of colouring them, you can see the technique in my YouTube video here. To finish I stamped the corners using a stamp from the Mixed Media Elements set (STAMPlorations) and added some golden highlights to the flower centers using a gel pen.
