Hi Friends!
Today I got a simply stencilled card for you as my DT piece for the Inspiration Post over on the STAMPlorations blog. Here it is ...

To add a little luxury, I used whit Centura Pearl card as my base. You can get a sense of the shimmer in the close-up below. The peony was stencilled using Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint Di's. I then simply finished off with a stamped sentiment and a couple of sequins.

Here are the STAMPlorations products I used in today's card:

Stencilled Leaves

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.
I thought I'd share another card using Gelatos and die-cuts ...

This time I used the negative from die-cutting the leaves I used for my Spotlight Project here. I applied the Metallic <int Gelato to the die-cut strip and rubbed it into the leave shapes. I started with the right hand leaves and then moved the strip across without having to apply more Gelato. That's how I got the ombre shading.

I finished off with lime green splatters, stamped sentiment and sequin.

Sliding Letters

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Monika here today with a slider card idea using the current Stamp Club set Hello You in combination with the Lacy Edges And Border CUTplorations Dies from today's release and some other favourites named at the end of this post.

There are two cards for you today using a slightly different way of making the slider element with a video for each. First up are the two cards:

The slider element of the first one is slightly wider and it uses a tri-folded card as base and would require you to have a large die-cutting machine such as the Grand Calibur.

In the card the slider element is contained in a large topper, which only requires a Big Shot or Cuttlebug size die-cutting machine. I also slightly modified the with for the envelope to slide out making it easier to attach the laptop over it.

The following photos demonstrate how the envelope slides out from behind the laptop once the tag is being pulled.

Interested on how they were made, check out the full Spotlight Feature including videos here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

That's it from me for today. I shall leave you with one last look at the finished projects.

Have a lovely day!

Girls Girls Girls

Hi All,

It's Tuesday and this means Inspiration time over at STAMPlorations. For my DT piece I made this card-in-a-box using Groovy Shoes with a little help from A Girl And Her Shoes as I decided to join the revival of this 3D card style with a little bit of Retro Fun.

I first made this style of card about 10 years ago, how time flies. It has since had a revival, and, inspired by Jackie at last night's craft club meeting, I had to give it another go.... shoes and box seemed to be a good combination.

There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube here on how to make this type of card hence I decided to simply focus on the stamping and colouring I did. The base was easy, I just used the shoes and randomly stamped them on pink card (regal rose) using Melon Mambo and Elegant Eggplant. Next I stamped my birthday sentiment in black and a couple of sentiments from the A Girl And Her Shoes set in Mambo and Eggplant before adding some flowers into the mix ...

I stamped, coloured and fuzzy cut my shoes and flowers (for the laced-up ones I used my gelli plate for mirror stamping), assembled the box and finished off with a little glitter from my sparkly gel pen and some faux stitching in black ...

Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog for more inspiration, to browse, enter challenges and simply have fun!

That's it from me for now. I shall be back soon ...

Have a lovely day!

Strong Women

Hi All,

It's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. Working with the Groovy Shoes and Strong Women sets was such a pleasure the other day that I had to make several cards. This is one of them ...

The background is a sort of accidental ... a print I took from applying inks to my craft mat. spritzing with a little water and dipping a piece of card into it to take the print. I die-cut the bottom bit off to use for another card and the resulting piece and pattern fitted the groovy heels very well. I simply dry embossed my base card with a matching floral pattern, added my sentiment and layered up before finishing off with some floral sequins.

Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog for the fabulous pieces my very creative teamies have made. Whilst there leave a comment for your entry to win a $10 gift certificate plus check out all the other challenges and tutorials for some extra fun!

That's it from me for now.

Have a lovely day!

STAMPlorations April Stamp Release Blog Hop

Hi All,

Welcome to Day 5 of the STAMPLorations April Stamp Release Blog Hop. Today it's the turn of the Inspiration team to showcase the new stamps. Each of us created one card per new set. I am starting my post off with a creation using the feathers from the Trendy Feathers 2 set and a sentiment from the Strong Women set which is fast becoming one of my favourites.

The background is made by  applying some Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight inks to my craft mat spritzed with water and picked up with a piece of white card to which I added a few black spritzed splatters. The pink feathers are stamped and fuzzy cut, the yellow one is heat embossed, my sentiment was stamped on a matching panel before layering everything up as seen and finishing off with some sequins and a twine bow.

Next up is a card using the Groovy Shoes set which I combined with the splatters from the Mixed Media Elements set to create this retro inspired card ...

I stamped a border using the larger one of the half flower stamps using Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry inks. I then used a damp brush and pulled some of the colour from the outline into the petals to create a little shading. I stamped the splatters, stamped my sentiment, layered up, added a doodled border and finished off with some gems and fuzzy cut heels.

Next up is a card using the Smile set in combination with brushos ...

The lily is white embossed on a piece of cream card, the same type I used for my base card, sprinkled with brushos and spritzed with water and fuzzy cut once dry. The background has been created in a similar way directly onto my base card, sprinkling with brushos and spritzing with water. Once dry, I layered up my elements and stamped my sentiment at the top.

Next up is a card featuring another stamp from the Strong Women set in combination with the lily of the valley stamp from Smile and a sentiment from Hashtag Authentic ...

I started off sponging my turquoise oval and bleaching the large amazing (Hashtag Authentic) into it using water. I then stamped my sentiment once and the lily of the valley several times in Concord Crush and coloured them using Northern Light Twinkling H2Os avoiding the stamped outline as much as possible as the ink I used to stamp was a dye ink. A little turquoise spritzing finished the look.
