May Your Day Sparkle

Hi Friends!

Something a little cute from me today using a sweet little fairy stamp set from Your Next Stamp and some frames from docrafts Papermania ...

The frame is simply stamped with Miel Izink dye ink. I decided against colouring it as I wanted a light and airy feel for my card. I felt this would work best with the little fairy which was coloured with my metallic pencils from Aldi (past special buy).

My design was finished off with a couple of little stars.

The Wishing Well Fairy stamp set by Your Next Stamp is available in the UK through Dies To Dies For.

The frames stamp set by Papermania docrafts is one I had for a few years.

You Have My Heart

Hi Friends!

I was moving things around in my craft space trying to sort some bits out when I came across the rose and thought it needed to be turned into a card ...

I combined it with the heart and sentiment from the Romantic Expressions 2 set, added a bit of colouring, some doodles and a confetti heart to finish.

One-layer Birthday

Got another one-layer card for you, this time a slimline one ...

I used Worn Lipstick, Broken China and Weathered Wood Distress Oxides in combination with my Triangles Flexi-Template for the background to which I added a few water splatters. The rose and sentiment are simply stamped.

Just sharing a one-layer card using stamps from last year's Advent calendar and December's Monthly Make Box by Crafty Roo Designs.

The background was stamped using one of their small Poly Plates. Coloured inks used were Purple Violet, Blackcurrant Jam and Mauve Moment Prism inks by Hunkdory.

Dydd Santes Dwynwen Hapus

Hi Friends!

Happy St Dwynwen's Day! As you've probably guessed by now, I really love Wales and have started to learn Welsh.

During one of my more recent lessons I came across St Dwynwen's Day (Dydd Santes Dwynwen), a day dedicated to the Welsh parton saint of love. I looked up her story, decided to celebrate it this year and surprise my hubby.

This is the card I made ...

I used the Originally Organic Additions stamp and die set by Uniko for my heart shaped wreath. A little bit of script (Large Background French Script also by Uniko) in the background, some sequins and my hand written sentiment finished my card off.

AAA Cards Challenge Guest Designer

Hi Crafty Friends!

I've been asked to guest design over at AAA Cards Challenge for their CAS Game #182 which starts today. Here is my project ...

As you can see from the graphic below, the request is fro a one-layer card with the optional twist of silhouettes. My card includes both.

To keep with the CAS look, I decided to align the Triangles Flexi-Template as shown in the photo below. This would allow me to add colour for the background while at the same time highlighting the white space and contributing to a bright and airy feel.

 

I finished off with a silhouette and sentiment by Uniko.

Cheeky Birthday Card

Hi Friends!

Ooops, this posted without me finishing the post, if you get what I mean. My sincere apologies.

Today I got a little birthday card with a punchy sentiment. Here it is ...

The stamps I used were from this month's Monthly Make Box by Crafty Roo Designs. Keeping it short and sweet as it was just a little bit of stamping with Aurore, Miel and Cire Izink Dye inks that brought my card together. The sentiment was stamped with black Versafine.

Be Strong

Another week and another helping of lovely projects over at STAMPlorations in the Inspiration Post over on their blog. Here is my DT contributions ...

I'm in the process of sorting through bits in my craft room and came across a background I made a while ago which gave me the idea for Triangles Flexi-Template. You should be able to use them to do something similar.

I started off by blending the card with yellow (Daffodil Delight), added a couple of frames as masks where the colour is still yellow, sponged a bit of Bermuda Bay for the green and Rose Red for the pink/orange. I then added some stamping and water bleaching using stamps from the Art Marks and Mixed Media Grunge sets.

I finished the tag off with a silhouette from Beautiful You and a sentiment from  the Inspirational #1 Clear Stickers. My base card has a lightly sponged brick wall as background and the card was finished off with a few sequins.

January Theme & Photo Prompt Reminder

Just a quick reminder that there is still time to play along at STAMPlorations January Challenges. Here is my reminder DT project for their Theme & Photo Prompt challenge ...

You can either follow the theme, which this month is Stamps & Sweets, take inspiration from the photo or incorporate both.

I used both in my project. The cupcake for the sets theme, the golden splatters representing the golden bow and the confetti plus picking some of the colours for colouring the cupcake. The Squares Flexi-Template was used for the sponged background and my one-layer card was complete.

As for the Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge prizes:
