March Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge

Hi Friends!

After a short break the monthly challenges over at STAMPlorations are back. Here is my DT piece for March's Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge over on their blog.

The theme for the current challenge is Stamps & Numbers and the photo prompt can be seen below. Your project can either be inspired by the theme, photo prompt or both. The full challenge rules can be found here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

I've taken some inspiration from the photo for my colours and yogurt turned into ice cream. There is also a little bit of fruit in my card in form of the cherry. Rather than making numbers a big theme in my card, I added them in my collage stamped background.

You might have spotted some elements from the new Art Marks 3 set in my background. It is still on pre-order until March 5 as part of a bundle with Life is Sweeter and Super Hero at 50% off, check out the details here.

As for the Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge prizes:
One winner of a $20 gift code will be picked by one member of our DT.
Plus 3 randomly drawn winners will each receive a $7 gift code.

In order to be considered for a prize, make sure you've followed the rules here.

These are the STAMPlorations products I used in today's card:

Should you feel like browsing in STAMPlorations online shop, check out their latest offer below.

Using my personal discount code STAMPGIRLMONIKA at checkout for a 20% discount on your order makes you qualify to pick a free product from their store up to the value of $7. I've got to be honest, if you use the code and/or the link to the STAMPlorations Shop I provide in my posts for your purchases, I will get a little reward, at no extra cost to you of course.

Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out how my teamies interpreted the challenge theme and prompt and of course to join in the fun too.

That's it from me for now. Have a lovely day!

Bright Future

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.  I thought I'd share a card I made using bits I discovered when tidying up my desk ...

The background is the second print I took of the stencil (Petals 1 Stencil) after having made my card here. The trees (Gratitude Trees) were left over from a batch I coloured last year during a stay at our caravan.

I simply added a bit of stamping (Art Marks 2), a sentiment (Shine Bright) and the card started coming together.

If you feel like bagging yourself a bargain and take advantage of STAMPlorations' Spring Fling May Sale  check out the graphic at the end of this post.
Should you find yourself placing an order soon, feel free to use my personal discount code STAMPGIRLMONIKA at checkout for a 20% discount on your order. Please note that my discount code can not be combined with any other coupon code, but you can use it as often as you wish. I've got to be honest, if you use the code I will get a little reward.
You can check out all of STAMPlorations' current promotions here.

That's it from me for today. Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out my teamies' beautiful makes.

Hope you're having a lovely week!

Keep Shining

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.  I thought I'd use one of the stencil prints I took when making my card for this post here. It was perfect to be teamed up with this gorgeous light bulb ...

We all need some positivity in our lives right now ... this light bulb gives off an uplifting glow. I colourerd it using brushmarkers and a watercolour brush. The edges of my panel were inked up first and then distressed which gave me this nice broken outline.
I stamped the waves from the Art Marks 2 set and the sentiment, lightly shaped the bulb, attached it with foam pads and finished off with a few gems for sparkle.

The Sunny Side

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is time to welcome in April and with it the start of another round of challenges over at STAMPlorations. Here is my DT piece for this month's Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge ...

The theme for the current challenge is Stamps & Flight and the photo prompt can be seen below. Your project can either be inspired by the theme, photo prompt or both. The full challenge rules can be found here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

As you probably already guessed, I took inspiration from both the theme and the photo for my card.

The inspiration from the photo prompt can be found in the circles (Art Marks 2) and the colours I used to stamp them (Canary Yellow, Orange Zest and Apple Green Prism inks). The theme of flight is reflected by the butterfly from Sweetly.

As with every challenge, there are prizes to be won. Here they are:
Two winners, one of a $15 gift certificate and one of a $10 gift certificate, will be picked by one member of our DT.
Plus 3 randomly drawn winners will each receive a $5 gift certificate.

In order to be considered for a prize, make sure you've followed the rules here.

Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out how my teamies interpreted the challenge theme and prompt and of course to join in the fun too.

That's it from me for now. Have a lovely day!

Sending Love

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.  I thought I'd share a CAS-ified version of my Leafy card from this post here. It was one quite a few of you seemed to like. So here is my second take on combining Leafy with Art Marks 2 ...

Instead of using shades of green, I went a bit more colourful and used Fire Coral, Dusky Rose and Apple Green Prism inks for the scribbly rectangles. The rest was stamped in black Versafine.

Best of all ... no colouring skills needed!

If you feel like bagging yourself a bargain and take advantage of STAMPlorations' Stencil & Sticker Sale check out the graphic at the end of this post.
