Hello Crafty Friends!

STAMPlorations are releasing a couple of new stamp sets designed by Shirley aka The Bees Knees today. They are owl so fab!

BIG OWLS | LITTLE OWLS

For my DT pieces, I got to work with the little ones. Aren't they cute!?

The background squares are simply stamped using some Prism inks with the ink pad itself being used as stamp.

For my next card, I fancied the idea of an heart shaped moon with one of the owls sitting on a branch.

As always with a new release, there is a little blog hop for you to join. Prizes are as follows:

Monster Hugs

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.

My DT piece for this week are a couple of monster inspired cards ...

I thought, it would be fun to have one of them leap off the card with the help of some acetate. I played around a bit and coloured one of leaping monsters with alcohol markers and simply stamped the other one in rainbow colours. Sometimes I just don't fancy doing any colouring ....

TMR 24th July - Surf's Up

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives. Our guest designer for the next fortnight is Lisa A, you can check out her fabulous creations on here on Lisa's blog.

My DT project for the new challenge is ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. As you can see, the theme for challenge #116 is Surf's Up. Lots of scope there!

#116 Surf's Up!

I had this little surfing penguin for quite a while, and the theme of Surf's Up made it come out to play. The background is a mix of mopped up ink with a bit of stamping. I simply finished off with a die-cut frame, sentiment and rub-on flip flops.

Wishing Ewe

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.

My DT piece for this week is a little CAS card ...

I thought I'd make one last Christmas In July card and dug out these adorable sheep.

I stamped the hats first and masked them off before stamping the sheep. They were easily coloured using alcohol makers and finished off with a touch of Stickles. The tiny trees are finishing off the cute look.

My sentiment is finished off on the inside ...

Like last week, I'm taking it very easy this week ... the Blossom Sprays #3 is simply stamped on cream Centura Pearl card and finished off with a die-cut sentiment cut from a piece burnished copper mirri card. Enjoy! ❤

To be honest, I am not in the habit of making Christmas cards in July. It is my birthday month and as such a Christmas free zone, and I'd normally like to keep it like that ... but then hey, there are always exceptions.

However it did take a while for me to get into the groove ... B&W is always a great colour scheme for masculine cards.

Just found this little CAS card in my photos ... been doing some housekeeping ... and realised that I hadn't shared it as yet ...

The stamp has simply been inked up with Aurore and Miel izink inks, the sentiment has been stamped with black Versafine. Enjoy! ❤
