Hi Friends!

Here is today's project, my DT piece for the Inspiration Post over on the STAMPlorations blog ...

It's another balloon butterfly, one made using some left over bits from the balloon frame as explained im my tutorial here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

I popped it up against a stencilled background and finished off with a stamped sentiment and sequin.

October Theme & Photo Prompt

Hi Friends!

It's getting cooler outside and the days are getting shorter which means the summer break is over and it's getting time for a new round of monthly challenges over at STAMPlorations are back. Here is my DT piece for October's Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge over on their blog.

The theme for the current challenge is Stamps & Shine and the photo prompt can be seen below. Your project can either be inspired by the theme, photo prompt or both. The full challenge rules can be found here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

I'm loving the stars and golden colour from the photo prompt and combined them with lots of glitter accents to help them shine.

I stamped a background of stars using the outline stars from the Three Kings set, added a couple of strips of glitter tape and stencilled a shooting star using gold Glimmer Paste.

As for the Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge prizes:
One winner of a $20 gift code ($25, if STAMPlorations products were used as the main focal point) will be picked by one member of our DT.

Just sharing a couple more projects using some of the stamps from the new release over at STAMPlorations,...

My first card uses leaves and small flowers from Deepti's Life Is Sweeter set stamped with Spring Meadow and Purple Velvet Prism inks.

The second card uses Shirley's Super Hero with a bit of added print texture from Shery's Art Marks 3. The star is from the Art Marks set and the sentiment from Noteworthy.

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives. Our guest designer for the next fortnight is Nance, you can check out her fabulous creations on here on Nance's blog.

My DT project for the new challenge is ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. For challenge #103 it's Nature. Lots of scope there!

As you can see, I went for a bright and sunny CAS design featuring a small landscape scene which I simply watercoloured. The yellow rays of my base card are simply sponged.

Space Robot

Today is the start of a new challenge over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making cards and other crafted things for the men in our lives. Here is my DT project ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. For challenge #81 we are looking for space and science inspired makes. Lots of scope there!

#81 - 14th March - Space/Science

I decided to go for the space theme and thought it might be nice to send a little robot up there to reach for the stars.

I used a bit of ink blending, water splatters, stamping, embossing, watercolouring and die-cutting. Well, and I managed to add a bit of pink to a male card. 😁

Stamp Spotlight April Release

Hello Craft Friends!

It's Blog Hop Time over at STAMPlorations to celebrate and showcase their latest stamp release, 4 gorgeous sets to celebrate the feminine.

First up is Sweet & Sassy Mom designed by Becca, a set of 6 image and 7 sentiment stamps, which I used to make this super CAS card ...

Next up another CAS card showcasing the flowers from Deepti's Best Mom Ever (1 large floral image and 4 sentiment stamps) and a sentiment from Shery's One Cool Chick set with a little bit of Spotlight Colouring and orange embossing thrown into the mix ...

Well I did add some glossy accents to that yellow flower too after a bit of a lucky escape. I used Promarkers to colour an image I had intended to watercolour. Yep, Archival ink and alcohol markers is not a good combination. Luckily I realized what happened early on and was able to avoid going over the stamped lines when colouring. 😌

Next up is the card I made using Shery's set, One Cool Chick (1 girlie image and 9 sentiment stamps), in combination with Noteworthy and the Lacy Edges And Borders CUTplorations Dies.

A little bit of watercolouring, splattering, foiling, fuzzy cutting around part of the image and die-cutting a border was all that was needed to make this card. I used holographic silver foil which gives my design a lovely colourful border when catching the light.

Last, but not least, is Shirley's Parfumerie, a set of 9 image and 2 sentiment stamps, perfect for those watercoloured CAS cards.

Stamped and watercoloured with a little shadow, I added some fine splattering to give the impression of spraying the viewer with fragrance from the bottle.
