Rooting Through Left-Overs

Hello Crafty Friends!

The other day I was rooting through the box where I keep my left-over bits. Those sort of things that might come in handy again. I'm sure you probably got one too.

Here are two cards I made using some of those bits ...

The first one uses a stencil print, a negative die-cut sentiment, die-cut butterfly and border.

The second one uses a couple of die-cut frames, a couple of stamped and coloured feathers and a newly stamped sentiment to finish the card.

Here is a last look at both cards ...

Keeping it short and sweet today. Back soon. Enjoy your day!

Last Minute Gift

Hello Crafty Friends! Today's project is one I made as a tutorial for STAMPloratiosn. It is one you can easily make as a last minute gift for a friend. Why not get your kids involved and make it as a gift for their teacher? I am using Feathery with its matching dies, one of STAMPlorations Stamp Club sets to make a set of note cards in a box.

The box takes 5 cards and envelopes.

Here are a few more photos of the finished project.

That's it from me for today. You can check out the full step-by-step tutorial here on the STAMPloratiosn Blog. If you fancy making a last minute gift or make a project using any of the techniques shared by my teamies in their Spotlight Posts, make sure to link up your makes with STAMPlorations' Spotlight Project Gallery here.

Have a lovely day!

Floating Feathers

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I am sharing a fun card with floating feathers. The card was made as a step-by-step photo tutorial for STAMPlorations. The feathers really jump out at you once pulling this card from an envelope. I am working with STAMPlorations' current Stamp Club set Feathery and its matching Feathery Dies.

Here are a few close ups with shadows to give you a better idea of the floating effect.

Intrigued and fancy finding out how this card was made? There is a full step-by-step photo tutorial here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

That's it from me for today. If you fancy adding some floating dimension to one of your projects or make a project using any of the techniques shared by my teamies in their Spotlight Posts, make sure to link up your makes with STAMPlorations' Spotlight Project Gallery here.

Have a lovely day!

Note To Self

Hello Crafty Friends! Today I am sharing a project I made as a tutorial for STAMPlorations where I'm showing you how I made this canvas suing the Delicate Leaves and Crisscrossed stencils in combination with the Feathery stamps and dies.

It is a sort of a 'note to self' kind of project. We had quite a tough week following up on Nick's health issues, doctors and hospitals every single day.

Whilst overall I remain positive, it had to be a turning point for his care, and, fingers crossed, it looks like it is happening. However I don't dare to relax just yet. I think we still got a couple of tough months ahead before he is out of the woods.

Anyway to keep myself positive, I made this little canvas using mainly colours to support the heart chakra, pink and green, with a little yellow for the solar plexus to strengthen the sens of self.

Of course it is kept in a place where I can regularly look at it.

Here are a few more photos.

If you want to check out how it all came together, pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out the step by step tutorial.

That's it from me for today. Hope, you feel inspired to have a playful time and create your own mixed media project. If you do, why not link it up with STAMPlorations November's Mixed Media Challenge which starts in a couple of days on Sunday 5th November and will run until the end of this month. The Mixed Media Challenge is always Anything But A Card Goes, I look forward to seeing you there.

Have a lovely week
