Today's card uses the print from the stencil I used for yesterday's card ...

I simply added the double stacked, die-cut birds by STAMPlorations and a stamped sentiment by Uniko before finishing off with a gem and doodled border.

Hi Crafty Friends!

Sharing another card with a background made using one of the Media Plates by John Next Door ...

I did use a stencil which created a delicate pattern. It sadly got lost when I added the flowers and blending around the edges. The colours used were Fossilised Amber, Crackling Campfire and Victorian Velvet DIs.

More Playtime

Hi Crafty Friends!

I was playing with the circle Poly Plate using it for making my background ...

... using it with my stamping tool made it easy to layer up a background.

I started off with applying some Coastal Cabana and Tempting Turquoise SU inks to the Poly Plate, of course after having positioned and attached it to the lid of my stamping tool, and using my brayer to blend them in before stamping it on my piece of card.

Next I added a bit of Pacific Point around the edges of my Poly Plate, blended it in with a little dauber and stamped it again giving the darker shading around the edge.

Using Pacific Point ink I stamped the snowflake circle on the Poly Plate before closing the lid and stamping another layer on my card which gave me this really lovely faded look.

On a side note, I tried using a stencil on the Poly Plate and it didn't show. Might have to play a little more to refine the technique.

The trees and sentiment were stamped in Pacific Point and my card was finished off with gems and a hand doodled border.

I'll certainly will have more playtime with Poly Plates, inks and brayer.

Magical Polar Bear

Hi Crafty Friends!

I was playing a little bit more with my Media Plates by John Next Door using ink which was left on my brayer when making yesterday's card ...

Working on the plate after applying this left over ink, I used the Mini Snowflake Texture stamp to pick up some of the ink from the plate and randomly stamp in a different place onto my plate before picking the pattern up with a piece of card ... that's how my background came to be. BTW inks used for the background were Speckled Egg and Picked Raspberry DIs

To finish I simply stamped my polar bear by LOTV and sentiment by STAMPlorations, added some shading with Tumbled Glass Di and some glitter too.

Silent Night - non traditional

Sharing a non traditional colour Christmas card made for a challenge in the UK Stampers Forum Facebook group. Have a look ...

I used Speckled Egg and Picked Raspberry DIs for the background made with the rectangle Media Plate by John Next Door and the Mini Snowflake Texture stamp by Crafty Roo Designs.

The stars were then stamped in London Fog Memento ink and the sentiment in Purple Velvet Prism ink, both stamps by Crafty Roo Designs too.

Hi Crafty Friends!

... this time featuring a watercoloured and glittered little robin from the same Charlie Und Paulchen set used in my previous 3 cards. The little variation this time are a couple of green gems which were added to the larger square.

To change thing a bit a few scored lines were added to my base card. Using the same basic layout with little variations is a good way for batch making cards, rather important at Christmas time.

Happy Sunday, Crafty Friends!

It's time for the second make using the same sets as I used for yesterday's card ...

The layout stayed the same with the larger white square being replaced by a glittery green one. Instead of the girl and the sleigh a little house was used to which I added some glitter for a snowy look.

German Christmas 1

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today I'm sharing the first of four cards made using images from the Geschenkanhangerdeko Weihnachtlich die set by Charlie Und Paulchen.

I went for an elegant white on white look. The Charlie Und Paulchen images were combined with stitched squares from a nesting set from The Works. The little girl and the sleigh with presents are double layered.

Christmas Santa

Today's card uses some golden oldies which have been part of my stash for at least 7 years. Have a look ...

The background was part embossed with a Sizzix Texturz plate and score board lines. The Santa was stamped, watercoloured, fuzzy cut and popped up against some snowflakes.

Stamps by Crafter's Companion, small snowflakes from a Dovecraft punch, the middle snowflake from a Creative Memories punch and the large snowflake is a Xcut die.

The sentiment is from a set which came with a magazine and it was stamped to ground my image. After the stamping, I simply added a bit of Tumbled Glass DI with a watercolur brush, glitter and a gem to finish.

It's another slimline card for which the trees are just perfect. This time I used the second tree from the set and combined it with a large sentiment. BTW, the trees are still available as a limited supply set in the Crafty Roo Designs shop.

Got a simple slimline card for you today. It is actually a UK DL size which is slightly different to the US slimline.

I used a mix of ink blending and watercolouring for the florals by Crafty Roo Designs and finished off with a hand doodled border, gems and a die-cut sentiment by STAMPlorations.

Sharing the third card made in support of STAMPlorations owner Shery. It uses the Sketchy Yule Trees from the Holiday Stamps Bundle. Have a look ...

The background was made using the Circles Flexi-Template and Crackling Campfire DI, I think. I then added a bit of tacky glue and gilding flakes before finishing off with a die-cut sentiment and a touch of glitter glue.
