Super Skinny Slimline

Hi Friends!

Today I got a Super Skinny Slimline card for you as my DT piece for the Inspiration Post over on the STAMPlorations blog. Here it is ...

I was playing with bits and bobs the other day when doing some scribbling on a small die-cut rectangle using my Crawford & Black colour brush pens. I used them flat on their side to scribble thinking it might give me a smooth blend ... instead it came out in this scribbled shaded pattern which I rather liked.

It was perfect for the single flower silhouette from Deepti's soon to be released Life Is Sweeter set which is part of a pre-order bundle, see more details below.

I matted it on a piece of black card and cut a Super Skinny Slimline card base which is only about 7cm (2 3/4 inches) wide to fit it on ... finishing off with a stamped sentiment and single gem.

Here are the STAMPlorations products I used in today's card:

A Soft Heart

Hi Friends!

There are some exciting new stamp sets due to be released over at STAMPlorations. I had the pleasure of playing with two of them for today's post. The first one is called Art Marks 3 and you can make this really cool card with it ...

I used some of the stamps from the Art Marks 3 set to stamp the background and hearts. Initially I thought of using it as a background for some die-cuts, but I really liked how it turned out and I simply added a sentiment, sequins and doodled border to finish.

Inks used were Aurore and Cire Izink inks for the background and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide for the hearts.

The second one is called Life Is Sweeter and I'm getting rather fruity with it ...

I used Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber and and Twisted Citron, hint only, with the Circles Flexi-Template to blend my background for the gorgeous pineapple. Initially I was going to add some of the other fruits from the set too ... but then the pineapple doesn't look lonely to me. It's holding its space rather well.

Here are all the sets from the Pre-order Bundle ...

Art Marks 3, Life Is Sweeter, Super Hero

... which is currently on offer at 50% off until March 5. You can check out the details here.

The sentiment I used in my first card is from the Softly set and the circle template in my second card came from the Circles Flexi-Template ..

I leave you with one last look at both my card.

That's it from me for today. You cam check out some more projects using some of the new sets over on the STAMPlorations Blog.

Wishing you a lovely day!

Floral Circles

Hi Friends!

Sorry, I've been a bit quiet last week ... but hey, another week and another helping of lovely projects over at STAMPlorations in the Inspiration Post over on their blog. Here is my DT contribution ...

I had made the background for today's card a while ago with the intention of stamping only the outline of the florals. I messed up and put it aside to be reworked at a later date.

Well I picked it up the other day, added some script stamping and the grungy border, the coloured and fuzzy cut florals, sequins and die-cut sentiment to finish.

Hi Friends!

Another week and another helping of lovely projects over at STAMPlorations in the Inspiration Post over on their blog. Here is my DT contribution ...

With snow being in the forecast for most of the UK all week long, I opted for a little snow love ...

... on a slimline card. It's almost one-layer apart from the sentiment snips and the little gems. I coloured my images lightly with watercolour pencils and a damp brush. The colours look a little stronger in real life than on the photo.

A lot of white space would do well for a landscape covered in snow with a little glitter to dazzle.

A Fairy Happy Day

Hi Friends!

I'm back with another sweet fairy card. Initially I intended to post it last weekend, but I was feeling off colour due to a dodgy tooth. It's on the way to be sorted.

Well, here is my card ...

... simply stamped, Slate Grey and Purple Velvet Prism inks, with a bit of metallic pencil colouring and fussy cutting ...

The Wishing Well Fairy stamp set by Your Next Stamp is available in the UK through Dies To Dies For.
The frames stamp set by Papermania docrafts is one I had for a few years.

Leaving it at this for today. Wishing you a lovely weekend!

Not So Traditional Valentine

Hi Friends!

I'm back with another project. It's one i made for my Spotlight Project Post over at STAMPlorations

It's also the third of my little trilogy featuring the Sketched Hearts Stencil. This Time I used it to frame a little background scene for these love birds. Have a look ...

This card would make a really sweet Valentine's Day card for those who didn't want to use the traditional red hearts and sentiment.
If you want to see how it came together, check out my step-by-step tutorial here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

These are the products I used from STAMPlorations to make my card.

Valentine's Card - another take

Hi Friends!

Here is another take on yesterday's Valentine's card using a slightly different technique ...

Instead of printing the heart like I did in yesterday's card, I simply used the stencil to lightly sponge it before enhancing the edges, still sing the same inks.
Apart from that, the leaves were swapped for florals and the sentiment simply stamped and attached in a different place.

Here are the STAMPlorations products I used in today's card:

Valentine's Card

Hi Friends!

Another week and another helping of lovely projects over at STAMPlorations in the Inspiration Post over on their blog. Here is my DT contributions ...

I used Grenadine and Framboise Izink dye inks with the same printing and sponging technique for the hearts as shown in my Spotlight Post here on the STAMPlorations Blog. I then stamped the full leaves and script in Grenadine and the outline leaves in Framboise to add texture.

My embossed and lightly grunged up sentiment finishes the card off.
