Christmas Release Day 4 at STAMPlorations

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Christmas stamps and dies release time over at STAMPlorations, welcome to my offering for Day 4! My teamies and I are showcasing these new CUTplorations dies.

Here are my samples ...

I simply inlaid some of the cut out pieces. Just in case you wonder, I kept on cutting lots of mirror card hence I made so many examples. You can always vary the inlaid colours for added interest.

This die also looks great without any inlaid bit. It is so well designed that a simple silver on white combination looks stylish.

For the next one, I cut around the candles leaving the frame intact, spritzed with watercolour, layered on a complete white die cut and then on my black base card.

This card here uses the outline of the watercolor spritzing from the above card. I simply added some stamped stars and a sparkling black sentiment.

For a more traditional look with some gold spritzing and embossed stars...

... and a festive shaker card ....

... finishing off with a mix of sparkling black and holographic silver ....

Christmas Release Day 1 at STAMPlorations

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Christmas stamps and dies release time over at STAMPlorations, welcome to my offering for Day 1! My teamies and I are showcasing this new layering set designed by Shirley, aka The Bee's Knees.

Here are my samples ...

Lights or baubles, this set works for both, it's up to your imagination. I used a bit of Are You Cerise Infusion Powder for the background in my first card, the lights were stamped using Cerise and Framboise Izink inks. Finished off with a couple of sequins this is a bright and cheerful non-traditional card.

My next one is a little more traditional, the background spritzed with yellow liquid watercolour and a little grunged around the edges, a little tinsel embossing and bright lights to finish.

As usual with blog hop release celebrations we ask you to visit and comment on all the blogs of the participating designers and, of course, the STAMPlorations Blog too.

You ...

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well, I am back with an Inspiration project for STAMPlorations.

For today's post I had a little play with the Butterfly Cover Plate Die and the Strong Women sentiments set to make this duo of cards  ....

I wanted to warm up for next week's release of a new cover plate die, nosy me has discovered that it's already in the shop.

I basically used my die-cut cover plate as a stencil, placed it on a matching white base card and spritzed with watercolour spray. The spritzed die-cut was layered on a blue base card after layering on a second plain die-cut, of course for more depth, and finished off with a stamped sentiment.

Because of the pastel colouring the white lines didn't show as well as I had hoped hence I simply added a plain white die-cut finishing off again with a sentiment.

Throughout the summer STAMPlorations are having 15% off on all stamps, stencils and dies in their on-line store on Tuesdays only, no coupon needed. This offer can be combined with my personal discount code STAMPGIRLMONIKA to give you an added 20% off taking the total discount to 35%, just saying ....

Be The Rainbow

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well, I am back with an Inspiration project for STAMPlorations.

Today a couple of Deepti's Kathryn sets, Kathryn's Rainbow and Kathryn's Big Wishes, came out to play to make this one-layer card  ....

It's pretty straight forward stamping. The dots were coloured using marker pens rather than ink. It's simply easier.

I really wanted to the dotty rainbow to stand out and decided against adding colour to Kathryn.

Throughout the summer STAMPlorations are having 15% off on all stamps, stencils and dies in their on-line store on Tuesdays only, no coupon needed. Thanks

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well, I am back with an Inspiration project for STAMPlorations.

Today Blossom Sprays #1 came out to play for an almost one-layer card  ....

I still had ths die-cut thanks left from a while ago, when I cut it out of a panel stamped with stamps from the Frames And Flowers set. I felt it was quite bold in its own way and needed something delicate and subtle for the background.

Throughout September STAMPlorations are having 15% off on all stamps, stencils and dies in their on-line store on Tuesdays only, no coupon needed. This offer can be combined with my personal discount code STAMPGIRLMONIKA to give you an added 20% off taking the total discount to 35%, just saying ....
