Gift Set 1

Hi Crafty Friends!

Just sharing a little gift set of small cards I made.

Just simple stamping and a touch of colouring on the last card shown.

The script background stamp is from a Happy Little Stampers set. All the other stamps are by Crafty Roo Designs.
These are all stamps I've had for a while and I still like using them. Sadly both companies are no longer trading.

The snowflake dies are from Memorybox and the texture plate for embossing the box lid by Sizzix.

Hope you enjoyed my little trip down memory lane. I shall be back tomorrow with a couple of cards showcasing some new STAMPlorations products.See you then.

Thank You Tags

Hi Crafty Friends!

November is here and with it probably a month of almost continuous postal strikes here in the UK, just in time for the busy online Christmas shopping period.

Today I'm sharing some tags I made a few weeks ago when I was selling a few stamp sets I no longer use. I always like to add a little card or tag when sending my de-stash items off to their new owners. Have a look ...

Background and sentiment were stamped using stamps from a set by Happy Little Stampers, not sure exactly where the dies came from.

Wishing you all a lovely day!

Vellum Flower 1

Hi Friends!

Continuing my little adventure into treasures from my craft space, today's card uses a sentiment stamp by Happy Little Stampers and a vellum flower which I rescued from a card made in a workshop. It was one of those huge cards I never would have sent myself. Instead I turned it into something I really like. Wins all 'round. 😀

I am entering my card at the January Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge.

Wishing you a lovely day!

Thanks

Hi Friends!

Sharing a little CAS card today using stamps and coordinating dies by Happy Little Stampers which I've had for a while. It is amazing how moving around one's craft space in the room can make one look at stash with fresh eyes.

Stamping and colouring has been done with Aurore, Miel, Mer Du Sud, Emeraude and Cerise Izink inks. For the black I used Versafine.

I am entering my card at the January Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge, my butterfly was watercoloured using inks.

Wishing you a lovely day!

Round In Circles

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Wednesday and time for a new challenger over at The Male Room challenge blog where the bi-weekly challenge is all about making projects for the men in our lives. Our guest designer for the next fortnight is Ana, you can check out her fabulous creations on here on Ana's blog

My DT project for the new challenge is this one-layer card with lots of circles ...

Each challenge, of course, has a different theme. For challenge #94 we are looking for 'Geometry' inspired projects. Lots of scope there!

I simply dug out some blue inks and got stamping circles, stars and a bold sentiment.

Fancy creating your 'Geometric' inspired make, pop over to The Male Room for more inspiration and to link up your masculine makes.

That's it from me for today
Have a lovely day!

Celebrate Roses

Hello Crafty Friends!

Another quick card for today made with PaperArtsy infusions powders, die-cut roses and a sentiment from Happy Little Stampers' Bold Birthday Sentiments, here it is ...

I simply sprinkled the powders on my lightly textured cream base card, spritzed with water and allowed to dry. To finish off, I added the cream rose border and stamped my sentiment .... That Was Easy!

Bright ATCs

Hello Crafty Friends!

After having been back from our holiday for one week now, I'm finally getting around to doing some posts that haven't been scheduled. We had a great time in Wales. Being away for 4 weeks seemed to be a little daunting, but time flew by and the weather gods were very kind showering us with almost wall to wall sunshine!

Back to today's post. A while ago I made some ATCs which I dug out, altered and turned into these beauties ...

The original ones were pretty plain with randomly stamped and embossed butterflies, oodles of watercolour, doodles and a bit of stamping. I decided to use them as a base to add the coloured die-cut butterflies, some die-cut foliage and sentiments. Let's have a closer look ...

I am entering my ATCs at the following challenges:
Happy Little Stampers ATC Challenge - July: animals
Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies - July Challenge
Addicted To Stamps And More - Anything Goes

I am also entering the July ATC swap at the UK Stampers Forum on Facebook.

That's it from me for today. Have a lovely week!

Spring Hugs

Hello Crafty Friends!

Just a quick card today to send you all some hugs.

I took inspiration from several challenges, which I am going to enter.
CAS Colours & Sketches - challenge #216 sketch
Addicted To Stamps And More - challenge #235 photo inspiration
Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes with HLS stamps

Using my MISTI, I stamped the butterfly in Tempting Turquoise and watercoloured over and around it before stamping it again with the same ink. Once dry I added some darker shading and splatters in Pacific Point. I stamped out the Hugs in Night Of Navy and fuzzy cut around it, die-cut the word spring, die-cut the butterfly, added some scored lines to my base card and layered everything as seen finishing off with sparkly doodles and gems.

That's it from me for today. Have a lovely day!

A Little Die Cutting

Hello Crafty Friends!

I hope you're enjoying the sunshine wherever you are. Here in the UK something very special has happened... we are having a Bank Holiday weekend AND the sun is shining!!!!

Well I'm keeping this one short.I made two cards out of one die cut, here they are:

My First card uses a die-cut brusho background, one I made at the Happy Little Stampers Craft Retreat at the end of July in combination with the Joyful Bouquet Memory Box Die, brand new and never used before, with a little sentiment from the Doodled Flowers set by Happy Little Stampers.

Next up is the card I made using the negative of the Joyful Bouquet die on a dark background ...

... with a sentiment from the Thinking Of You set by Happy Little Stampers. Two quick cards out of one die cut.

I am entering my first card at:
Allsorts - use at least two dies, stitched rectangle and joyful bouquet
Darnell's NBUS #7 - at least one item must be 'Never-Before-Used-Schtuff', joyful bouquet is mine

Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes with dies

That's it from me. Have a lovely day!

More Brusho Escapades

Kylie ... Kylie ... What have you started!!!!

Hello Crafty Friends!

Since the HLS Craft Retreat in Swindon, I've had so much fun using my Brushos hence I shall be sharing some more of my makes.

I have been a fan of Visible Image stamps for a while .... and finally I dared picking them up and started to create ....

Using careful sprinkling of brushos and spritzing, I created my background and, once dry, stamped the Tall Grass, one of their retired stamps, in Wild Wasabi  and Create With Your Soul in Elegant Eggplant (both SU inks). All I need to do to finish my card, was to layer it on my white base card.

This one, using Butterfly Incognito, was even easier to make ... I sprinkled my brushos directly on the stamp, spritzed with water and stamped. I combined it with a simply stamped sentiment from the Doodled Flowers set by Happy Little Stampers.

I am entering this card at:
Addicted to CAS - Silhouette

Next up is a card I made using the 2nd generation stamping of the butterfly from my previous card ...

I tried to get another use immediately after stamping the butterfly for my previous card, but had to simlpy spritz the stamp with water again to make it work. I then stamped VI's Large Butterfly (think it is now part of the Butterfly Beginnings set) in black Versafine over my silhouette image and added my sentiment (Bold Sentiments: Create by STAMPlorations) to finish.

That's it from me for today, I shall be back tomorrow with a piece of Practical Art to share.

Have a lovely day!

Happy Birthday, Sandie!

Hi All,

Sandie from London Days, the Queen of CAS, is celebrating BIG today. Kylie is hosting a Linky Party for Sandie. If you fancy joining, you can find the details here.

I simply want to wish Sandie all the best. Hope you're celebrating well.

I am also linking up with the special celebrations over at Time Out, where the theme is CAS with optional twist of purple. Well, I didn't go for the optional twist, but I happen to know that Sandie likes UNIKO and STAMPlorations stamps plus I added some twinkle courtesy of Happy Little Stampers.

Sandie, have a fantastic time! Looking forward to seeing you in July.
