Today I am sharing a quick card with you, simply stamped and masked using the Buttercups And Butterflies set by STAMPlorations.

I simply masked my card using torn paper, sponged the rainbow and stamped the buttercups and sweet sentiment for this uplifting card.

The torn edges make it feel as if the sunshine is breaking through a cloudy day. The sun is always shining above the clouds, even if we can't see.

Celebrating STAMPlorations 4th Birthday!

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am back again with two more cards as my DT contribution to the STAMPlorations Birthday Celebrations. Both of them are very CAS and along the lines of a two in one.

First up is a super adorable shaker card ...

... made using the new Gift Builder #2 CUTplorations Dies in combination with the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies and a sentiment from the Celebrate Artsy set.

I simply cut the solid gift from the white card, backed it with acetate and layered the pink die-cuts on top.

My next card uses the pink circle shape and the 'left overs' from die-cutting the pink bits for my first card ...

... for more definition, I stamped the Zinnia - large on the square piece of the gift, added a white bow and a shadow layered Congrats sentiment.

What can I say about the new release? It's amazing, I absolutely LOVE the dies and Floral Sprays stamps. There are some pretty cool word dies and stamps too, one of my favourites is 'Prosit'. You can check them out in the shop here

It's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. This week my teamies and I are showcasing stamps designed by STAMPlorations owner Shery under her label 'Shery Russ Designs'.

Well, I got a bit of a surprise for you and ended up making two cards, the first one using the butterfly from Gone Postal, the Find Beauty sentiment from the new Say It Big Series, the little corcles from the Artsy Border Maker and a print of the Ethnic Organic 2 ARTplorations Stencil to create a card fitting the sentiment.

It was a pretty straight forward card to make, the stencil print was one I took when working with Infusion Powders through the Ethnic Organic 2 stencil. It's on linen effect card ,and all I had to do was stamp the sentiment and dotty circles, add the stamped and fuzzy cut butterfly and finish off with a few sparkly enamel dots.

My second card uses the Blossom Sprays #2 stamp and the Good Luck CUTplorations Phrase Die, both from the new release.

It's simply stamped and watercoloured and finished off with a die-cut sentiment.

As mentioned earlier, this week we are showcasing stamps designed by Shery under her label 'Shery Russ Designs'. June Stencil Sunday

Hello, Crafty Friends!

Welcome to another Stencil Sunday in June. My I take the opportunity to remind you of the current Mixed Media Challenge over at STAMPlorations. As you know Anything Mixed Media Goes as long as it is not a card and you use at least one stencil.

My DT contribution for this Stencil Sunday is ... a tag with a vintage feel ...

I started off with a Gelli Plate print from a while ago. As I had used the Bubbles stencil at the time, i decided to dry emboss the die-cut tag using the same stencil for added texture. I then played around with Distress Oxides on the tag and swirl before adding some shading using golden copper decorating chalks and black Versafine stamping with stamps from the Mixed Media Grunge set. I stamped the large Zinnia on newspaper print paper, fuzzy cut and sponged it with Old Paper DI. At this point I also blended the tag's edges with the same ink.
I added a doodled border, attached the swirl, added some rub-on sentiments and star,, set the floral eyelet and attached my flower before finishing off with sequins and ribbon.

I hope you feel inspired to create something different, maybe even do some up-cycling or re-purposing .... why not link it up with the Mixed Media Challenge over at STAMPlorations. The theme is always Anything Mixed Media Goes except cards which means projects such as tags, ATCs, canvases, layouts, art journal pages etc,are perfect for entering, and you must have used at least one stencil (any brand) in your project. It's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. This week my teamies and I are showcasing stamps by our very own Deepti under her label 'Dee's Artsy Impressions'.

I decided to work with the Friends And Flowers stamp set, the Prisms ARTplorations Stencil, the Hello Word Die and the Luggage Tags Nesting Dies to create a CAS card with purple and pink hues. Here it is ...

The Prisms print was from another project, I always take prints when working with stencils and pigment powders, they make the most delicate backgrounds. I simply die-cut a tag, added some Washi, die-cut sentiment, the watercoloured watering can and just one single pearl ... and my card was finished.

CUTplorations June Reminder

Hello Crafty Friends!

Over at STAMPlorations the CUTplorations Challenge  is in full swing, and I just wanted to post a little reminder project for you to get your creative juices flowing. Here it is ...

... and this is where the inspiration came from ...

I started off with a touch of light purple ink on linen effect card. It ended up being a bit streaky so I added some splatters and stamping. I then added the die-cut smile and watercoloured dino finishing off with sequins and a little Stickles.

Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to see how my teamies interpreted the photo and to link up your entry too. I decided to work with the Funny Kinda Love to create a love themed card ready to ring in the Wedding Season. Here it is ...

First I stamped the couple, masked them off and sponged the rainbow heart through a stencil I created with a large die-cut, stamped my sentiment and the two smaller heart before finishing off with some white shadow doodles and a few clear gems.

Sometimes simplicity can be very effective.

As mentioned earlier, this week we are showcasing stamps designed by Becca under her label 'Big Grins By Becca Cruger'. All her sets will be reduced by 10% apart from the A Cuppa Love and A Snarky Birthday To You sets, both of which will be 20% off.

Today I am sharing a quick card with you, simply stamped and with a tiny bit of masking. Hope this one brings a smile to your face ... 😄

I wanted the sentiment to take center stage and make it lighthearted ... laughter is after all the best medicine! Shirley's chicks came in very handy indeed to make eyes sparkle.
