Happy Everything, Chickie!

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. The theme for this month is SPRING hence I decided to work with the Fowl Play stamp set and combined it with the Happy Everything Phrase Die and the Crisscrossed Stencil for today's card.

I just love playing with these chicks and have them milling round a large sentiment. First I decided on my layout, stamped and masked the chicks, brushed a bit of ink through my stencil, added the sentiments and finished off with a bit of colour on the wings ... a perfect Spring themed card!

Hey Chickie!

Today I am sharing a quick card with you, simply stamped and with a tiny bit of masking. Hope this one brings a smile to your face ... 😄

I wanted the sentiment to take center stage and make it lighthearted ... laughter is after all the best medicine! Shirley's chicks came in very handy indeed to make eyes sparkle.

Spring Chickie

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. This week my teamies and I are showcasing stamps by our very own Shirley under her label 'The Bee's Knees'.

I decided to work with the Fowl Play to create a card inspired by the saying: I'm no Spring chicken. Here it is ...

The chicks are stamped and coloured with Promarkers.

I then used the Clouds stencil and Tempting Turquoise inks to add the fair weather cloud background, stamped and die-cut the sentiment (Sweet Spring Wishes CUTplorations Phrase Die) before layering up as seen and finishing off with a wiggly eye on the larger chick.

AAA Cards - CAS Game #87 Shiny Spring  - went with a Spring inspired colour scheme and die-cut the word Spring from shiny gold mirror card

As mentioned earlier, this week we are showcasing stamps designed by our very own Shirley under her label 'The Bee's Knees'. All her sets will be reduced by 10% apart from the Party Girl set I used in my card which will be 20% off.

Welcome to Day 2 of the STAMPlorations January Release Blog Hop which today features Fowl Play, a set of 7 adorable chicks and 3 sentiments ....

I know, you'll be having so much fun with these chicks. As for my part, they were perfect for a slider-shaker card ...

The slider element sits in front of the acetate in a pocket created by attaching the frame on three sides only. You could of course have it sliding out to the side rather than the top.

Otherwise it's a straight forward shaker card with the sentiment stamped inside the shaker element.
