Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. This week my treamies and I are showcasing stamps by Becca under her label 'Big Grins by Becca Cruger'.

I decided to work with the Dino Things and Strong Women sets to create a cute card with Washi plasters and humour. Here it is ...

Continuing with the Centura Pearl card theme, got quite a lot of it bought ages ago of course 😁, today's card was pretty straight forward:

• cut the small crazy stitched rectangle from ivory pearlised card
• stamp, colour and fuzzy cut this cute flying dinasour, as I like to refer to our wild 'pet' sparrows in the garden, using ivory pearlised card and Promarkers; seriously they are such good fun to watch at the feeder outside our back door
• stamp the Strong Women sentiment
• add Washi tape, layer up and add more plasters
• add button and sequins to finish

Heart Full Of Love

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Day 5 Of the LOVE TAGplorations event over at STAMPlorations, and I decided to join the fun for a second time with this love themed tag ...

I used the large Luggage Tag Nesting Dies to cut the tag and randomly stamped the large sentiments from the Sentiment Builders Happy and Love in Smokey Slate and Real Red. I then sponged it with a little Smokey Slate and heat embossed the couple from the Vignette: Ever After set in black before edging the whole tag with gold Stickles. I then die-cut the phrase you & me from gold and black card, shadow layered and attached it in place. I die-cut the Clustered Hearts from three different shades of red card, layered as seen, attached two further hearts and finished off with red ribbon.

Cupcake Inspirations GDT

I am immediately thinking Valentine's Day! What better way to combine the colours with sweet hearts. Here is my inspiration for you ...

I went for a CAS design with a pop of colour. The large heart is cut from the negative of the Lowercase Alphabet Plate Die and layered on white linen effect card. I then simply created my 3D XOXO sentiment, attached it in place and finished off with two small hearts from the Clustered Hearts Die. Here is a close-up ...

Monkey Love

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Day 2 Of the LOVE TAGplorations event over at STAMPlorations, and I decided to join the fun with this cutie of a shaker tag ...

I used the Luggage Tag Nesting Dies to cut the tag, frame and acetate. I then sponged the tag using one of hearts from the Zen Hearts stencil and Strawberry Slush ink. Next I stamped, watercoloured and fuzzy cut the cheeky monkeys and hearts from the Chickoo Goes Bananas set and die-cut the letters for the sentiment using the Lowercase Alphabet Plate Die. I assembled all the elements as seen and finished off with matching organza ribbon.

I decided to work with the Pets to create a CAS card for a dog lover. Here it is ...

Today's card was pretty straight forward:

• stamp and mask the dog
• mask to create a strip
• sponge with Twisted Lemon, Abandoned Coral and Wilted Violet
• remove masks and stamp sentiment
• layer on white pearlescent base card
• finish off with sequins, if wished

February Mixed Media Challenge

Hello, Crafty Friends!

Welcome to February and the start of a new Mixed Media Challenge over at STAMPlorations. As you know Anything Mixed Media Goes as long as it is not a card and you use at least one stencil.

My DT contribution for January is ... a tag ....

I used dies the ATC/Tag Builder set to cut my tag from a piece of linen textured card which I had at some point used to mop up some left over Bermuda Bay ink. I added a little Strawberry Slush (pink) and stamped the background in  Baked Brown Sugar using stamps from the Scribbly Splattery Grunge set before doodling around the edge using my Early Espresso marker. Next I stenciled one of the hearts from the Zen Hearts stencil with Cherry Sparkle Medium and allowed it to dry before adding the white gel pen doodles. I then added the stamped 'love' and 'happiness' (Sentiment Builders: Love and the die-cut phrase 'you & me'. Sequins, gem and fibers finished off the look.

I hope you feel inspired to dig into your crafty resourcefulness and create something to enjoy  .... why not link it up with the Mixed Media Challenge over at STAMPlorations. The theme for the Mixed Media Challenge is always Anything Mixed Media Goes except cards which means projects such as tags, ATCs, canvases, layouts, art journal pages etc,are perfect for entering, and you must have used at least one stencil (any brand) in your project. The challenge will close at the end of the month. You can find the full challenge details plus more Mixed Media inspiration here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

Ooops, almost forgot to mention the prizes: one winner as chosen by the Mixed Media DT will receive a $10 gift certificate and two Top Picks will receive a $5 gift certificate each, all of course redeemable at the STAMPlorations Shop ... but that's not all ... if there are 25 or more entries one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive two standard sized stencils of their choice.

Coffee Loving Cat

Hello Crafty Friends!

Hope your Sunday is going well. Just another quick one today to hopefully make you smile.

This ueber-cool cat is from a set by Katzelkraft, so is the sentiment. Both are stamped with black Versatile ink on Centura Pearl card. The take away coffee cup is stamped with black dye ink. I pulled a little bit of the black along with my water rush to create the spilled coffee. I added a die-cut border, coloured the eyes and finished off with a bright pink sequin.
