Here is today's project, my DT piece for the Inspiration Post over on the STAMPlorations blog ...

 

I've gone for a CAS theme with minimal colour. A touch of ink blended through a stencil provides a quick and easy background for this type of card. The dragonfly outline was cit twice and sandwiched between in a solid cut shape of vellum. Inks used for blending were Mer Du Sud and Petrole Izink dye inks.

May Theme & Photo Prompt Reminder

Hi Crafty Friends!

Just a quick reminder that there is still time to play along at STAMPlorations May Challenges. Here is my reminder DT project for their Theme & Photo Prompt challenge ...

You can either follow the theme, which this month is Stamps & Wings, take inspiration from the photo or incorporate both.

I used both in my project a stamp from Wooded and Pumice Stone DI for the background, the layered Dragonfly Die for the wings and colours from the photo.

The interest in my card comes from the natural colour scheme and the three layers, vellum and 2 tones of kraft, of the dragonfly.

As for the Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge prizes:

Dragonfly Duet

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday, and that means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations. This month we are following their 'Things With Wings' theme to celebrate Spring with a Blog Hop & Linky Party across all their challenges links to which can be found here.

For my DT pieces, I went for CAS designs and gave holographic card a bit of a make-over ....

Both cards are pretty self-explanatory. A bit of die-cutting and layering dies for the dragonfly and frame plus a silver embossed sentiment for the first ....

and a layered nesting die with splatters background combined with an inlaid die-cut dragonfly and stamped sentiment for my second card. I love the bit of rainbow shimmer on the wings.

Things With Wings 3

Hello Crafty Friends!

The Things With Wings Spring Blog Hop And Linky Party over at STAMPlorations is in full swing. As a little reminder, I made today's card using Dragonfly CUTplorations Layering Dies with a little help from the Winged Things, Art Marks and Noteworthy 2 stamp sets.

What do you think of my third make for the 25 days of celebrating Spring with all things winged?

Here is How it was made:

• I masked and sponged a wedge shape
• stamped the dragonfly using the same ink
• removed the masks and stamped the border and sentiment
• die-cut the outline dragonfly from gold mirror card and the solid one from vellum, layered them up and attached them to my card to finish
