January Theme & Photo Prompt

Hi Friends!

With the festivities having come to an end, it's getting time for a new round of monthly challenges over at STAMPlorations. Here is my DT piece for January's Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge over on their blog.

The theme for the current challenge is Stamps & Cups and the photo prompt can be seen below. Your project can either be inspired by the theme, photo prompt or both. The full challenge rules can be found here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

For my card, I've gone with the theme of cups and taken inspiration from the photo too. I picked one of the colours and the doughnuts to represent the sweets or whatever it is in the cup.

The rest was easy, a mix of stamping and die-cutting.

As for the Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge prizes:
One winner of a $20 gift code ($25, if STAMPlorations products were used as the main focal point) will be picked by one member of our DT.
Plus 2 randomly drawn winners will each receive a $10 ($15, if STAMPlorations products were used as the main focal point) gift code.

In order to be considered for a prize, make sure you've followed the rules here.

Latte Thanks

Hello Crafty Friends!

Just a little reminder that there is still time to play at STAMPlorations March Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge. Here is a little more inspiration ...

The theme for the current challenge is Stamps & Splatters and the photo prompt can be seen below. Your project can either be inspired by the theme, photo prompt or both. The full challenge rules can be found here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

Again I took inspiration from both the theme and the photo for my card.

Going for the white, pink and grey colour scheme and to give a nod to the Nature theme, I started off by stamping the background in grey on my white base card using one stamp from Leafy.

Next I randomly stamped images from Coffee Petites on a die-cut piece of pale pink card and added some brighter pink highlights to some of the images. I finished off my card with a sentiment from the Just Caffeinate Clear Stickers and a couple of sequins.

As for the prizes:
Two winners, one of a $15 gift certificate and one of a $10 gift certificate, will be picked by one member of our DT.
Plus 3 randomly drawn winners will each receive a $5 gift certificate.

In order to be considered for a prize, make sure you've followed the rules here.

Pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog to check out how my teamies interpreted the challenge theme and prompt and of course to join in the fun too. More challenge inspiration can be found in the March Challenges Reminder post here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

That's it from me for now. Have a lovely day!

Coffee Time

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.  My DT project for this week is a sunrise inspired coffee make ...

As I said earlier, the sponged panel was inspired by sunrise coloures. I used Aurore, Cire and Grenadine Izink inks. The little coffee cups were stamped in grey Versafine to frame my sticker sentiment which was die-cut using a deckle edged oval.

If you feel like bagging yourself a bargain and take advantage of STAMPlorations' Spring Time Sale check out the graphic at the end of this post.

Oh Frap!

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Tuesday and this means it's Inspiration Time over at STAMPlorations.  I rather like this 'oh frap!' sentiment, it's quite useful for any situation one wants to say 'I'm sorry' for especially belated birthdays. That's what I had in mind when creating my card ...

It's been ages since I last used my distress inks, they definitely needed an outing for today's card. I picked up Wilted Violet, Abandoned Coral and Twisted Citron plus the Make Marks 2 stencil and one of the Art Marks 2 stamps and set about creating my background. I then finished off with my little die-cut toppers and sequins.

The one with the sentiment uses a sticker and adding the dashed lines along the sticker's edges turns it into a real focal point.
