One-layer Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends!

Hope you're having a really good week. With rain having set in over the last couple of days, it's been a good time to craft. Today I'm sharing a one-layer card with you made for the current challenge over at Less Is More, here it is ...

I love making one-layer cards. Their simplicity can be very addictive. 😍

You may remember the stencil template I made for my Spotlight project here on the STAMPlorations Blog. Well, it got another outing with the same colour scheme of Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Elegant Eggplant SU inks.

I am entering my card at:
Less is More #385 - OLC Holiday
Craft Stamper Make It Take It November - Anything Goes

Keeping it short and sweet, that's it from me for now.
Have a lovely day!

Thorny But Beautiful

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well, I am back with an Inspiration project for STAMPlorations.

I had a bit of a 'Gremlin Day' on Saturday. They certainly had moved into our computer and printer, not good, when you want to check in your flight and print out boarding passes. In the end a bit of alcohol did the trick of unblocking the printer nozzles, and the Ryanair check in had to wait until today as they wanted us to pay extra for what they call an 'early check in'. No mention of that when I checked out their website earlier this week ... or I just didn't find that little bit of small print ....

Cutting a long story short, we got it all sorted, but it provided the inspiration for today's card. I was just left with one question .... How do you make 'thorny' look beautiful? Maybe by injecting lots of colour?

Have a look, here is my piece of inspiration ....

I decided that brightly coloured cacti would look less menacing, dug out my Izink inks and got stamping. For added softness, I added a bright pink glittery border and a tiny flower. To finish, I simply stamped the bar code border in smokey gray Versafine.

Throughout July, August and September STAMPlorations are having 15% off on all stamps, stencils and dies in their on-line store on Tuesdays only, no coupon needed. This offer can be combined with my personal discount code STAMPGIRLMONIKA to give you an added 20% off taking the total discount to 35%, just saying ....

Just a little reminder, the winner of my Birthday Give Away is ....

Hello Crafty Friends!

Well, I am back with an Inspiration project for STAMPlorations. I have been working with their current Stamp Club set Succulently which comes with a set of Coordinating Dies. A bit of watercolour spritzing, stamping, die-cutting, alcohol marker colouring and a few flower nail embellishments was all that was needed to create this card .....

Today also happens to be my birthday hence I would like to spread a little joy and make someone's day a fancactus day too hence I'm having a little GIVEAWAY.

The winner will receive this fancactus card and the Birthday Bash stamp set in the photo below.

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post or my corresponding Instagram and Facebook posts featuring the fancactus card and you shall be entered into the draw where I'll pick a winner at random.
