November Theme & Photo Prompt

Hi Friends!

Welcome to November. It's getting colder outside, the days are getting shorter and it's getting time for a new round of monthly challenges over at STAMPlorations. Here is my DT piece for November's Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge over on their blog.

The theme for the current challenge is Stamps & Fall and the photo prompt can be seen below. Your project can either be inspired by the theme, photo prompt or both. The full challenge rules can be found here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

 

I've gone for autumnal colours and picked up on the leaves from the photo. The largest leaf is stencilled and complemented with leaves from the Leafy and Life Is Sweeter set. My card was finished off with gems and sequins.

As for the Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge prizes:

Theme & Photo Prompt October

Hello Crafty Friends!

Let's welcome October and the start of another round of challenges over at STAMPlorations. Here is my DT piece for this month's Theme & Photo Prompt Challenge ...

The theme for the current challenge is Stamps & Autumn Colours and the photo prompt can be seen below. Your project can either be inspired by the theme, photo prompt or both. The full challenge rules can be found here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

As you probably already guessed most of my inspiration came from both the theme and the photo.

I used the largest oval from the Flexi-Template (to be released later this month) and sponged with Daffodil Delight SU ink and Miel Izink ink. I left the oval on, placed the Autumn Falling stencil on top and sponged the leaves with Pumpkin Pie SU ink before removing the stencil and Flexi-Template and adding the birds in Broue de Noix Izink ink and finishing off with the stamped pumpkin and sentiment.

November Mixed Media Challenge

Hello, Crafty Friends!

Welcome back! Phew, time has flown by! Hope you all had a great Summer!
It's Sunday 5th November today which means, it's the start of a new Mixed Media Challenge over at STAMPlorations. As you know Anything Mixed Media Goes as long as it is not a card and you use at least one stencil.

My DT contribution for November is ... a wintery tag ....

I fancied doing something a little monochromatic and dug out the snowman and penguins from the Winter Chill set to start and lightly watercoloured them with ink.

I then inked up the second largest Manila Tags Nesting Dies and randomly added some snowflakes before sponging Versamark though the Autumn Falling stencil and heat embossing with Snowflake Embossing Tinsel.

I then added the fuzzy cut snowman and penguins, sentiment, sequins and ribbon to finish.

I hope you feel inspired to dig into your crafty resourcefulness and create something to enjoy  .... why not link it up with the Mixed Media Challenge over at STAMPlorations. The theme for the Mixed Media Challenge is always Anything Mixed Media Goes except cards which means projects such as tags, ATCs, canvases, layouts, art journal pages etc, are perfect for entering, and you must have used at least one stencil (any brand) in your project. The challenge will close at the end of the month. You can find the full challenge details plus more Mixed Media inspiration here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

STAMPlorations December Stencil Blog Hop Day 6

Hello Crafty Friends!
The Stencil Party is in full swing over at STAMPlorations. I am back today with a CAS card using the ARTplorations Autumn Falling Stencil in combination with the Peace On Earth CUTplorations Phrase Die.

Well, I have been in the embossing powder pot again. My inspiration came from autumn leaves on a frosty morning and the need to use up the left over mixed powder from my card here. When you use two colours randomly, you inevitably end up with a mix of coloured powder.

To make my card, I decided on the layout, attached my stencil to the linen effect base card, masked off the leaves I wasn't going to use and sponged with Versamark. I then removed the stencil, sprinkled my embossing powder on, removed the excess and heat set. Using a silver gel pen, I added some veins before attaching my die-cut sentiment and sequins to finish.
