December Mixed Media Challenge

Hello, Crafty Friends!

Welcome to this first Sunday in November and the start of a new Mixed Media Challenge over at STAMPlorations. As you know Anything Mixed Media Goes as long as it is not a card and you use at least one stencil.

My DT contribution for December is ... a wooden plaque made from a piece of plywood ....

What would I need a wooden plague for, you might ask, especially a monochromatic one. Well ... I needed it for a very delicate place ... not so much in keeping with Feng shui more of a sort of letting go with ease .... 😁

We had some problems in the toilet department, the flush was difficult to work. It had been replaced before without much lasting improvement, a more radical change was needed. Not that easy to do with a built in cistern ... the old buttons took up quite a lot of space, and the one we wanted to go for was tiny in comparison, a replacement frontage was also very difficult to come by .... and then ... out comes the crafty resourcefulness ...

Nick fitted the new flush mechanism - working perfectly now -, cut a new hole for the smaller button,  and I got to do some artwork to cover the one where the old large buttons had been. I took quite a few photos which I turned into a little video tutorial on how I made it ...

Here is another 'still' of my finished project ...

I am entering my plaque at:
Alterred Eclectics - December Challenge
613 Avenue Create - Challenge #192 Anything Goes with optional twist Holiday Happiness
Creative Artiste - Challenge #21 Anything Goes
Anything But Cute - Challenge #19 Rustic Glam

I hope you feel inspired to dig into your crafty resourcefulness and create something to enjoy  .... why not link it up with the Mixed Media Challenge over at STAMPlorations. The theme for the Mixed Media Challenge is always Anything Mixed Media Goes except cards which means projects such as tags, ATCs, canvases, layouts, art journal pages etc,are perfect for entering, and you must have used at least one stencil (any brand) in your project. The challenge will close at the end of the month. You can find the full challenge details plus more Mixed Media inspiration here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

That's it from me for today. I shall be back soon with another project to share.

Have a lovely day!
