Spring Fling Reminder 2

Hello Crafty Friends! There is time to join the Spring celebrations over at STAMPlorations for their Spring Fling Event this month. My DT project for the reminder features their Bloom Peek-A-Boo Stencil in combination with their Big Hugs Phrase Die. Here it is ...

This card was made using the second print I took from the stencil after making my card with the spotlight stenciling feature for the original Spring Fling event post here.

I used cream card for a softer look and finished off my card by simply stamping the bar code, adding a die-cut sentiment and a couple of sequins.


Now a little bit more about the event:

It is a blog hop and linky party, which means you can hop along visiting all the participating designers' blogs. Please leave comments as you go along. Plus you can create a Spring themed project and link it up here on the STAMPlorations Blog.

Spring Fling Reminder 1

As always when I use a stencil for sponging, I try and make use of the ink that is left on the stencil itself by spritzing it with water and lifting the ink off with a piece of card. My card today uses the first of two prints I was able to get in this way.

I added some more stencilling using the Leaf Prints 3 stencil, picking out a few leaves and moving the stencil so I got the pattern I wanted. I finished off with a die-cut sentiment and a couple of sequins.

Spring Fling

It's a great stencil, one can just pick out a few of the shapes and highlight them in colour and keep the rest in neutral tones. I used Grenadine, Cire, Aurore, Menthe, Emeraude and Reglisse Izink inks to colour mine using eye shadow applicator brushes.
