A Keyring Charm

Hello Crafty Friends!

There are some new kids on the block over at STAMPlorations: Craftplorations MDF Shapes.

Today I'm introducing you to the new Mini Rectangle Tags.  These tags are perfect for mixed media projects, altering and for thinking outside the box.

Let me show you my 'thinking-out-of-the-box project', here is my keyring charm:

When I opened my pack of Mini Rectangle Tags, it contained 8 tags 2 of each of the 4 shapes below. They are a nice size and with a bit of imagination could be turned into pendants for charms. This is where my idea cam about.

I picked one and embossed one side with a mixture of embossing powder. I added a few layers to make it look like enamel.

I then added a coloured, die-cut leaf using a tiny bit of glue and added another couple of layers of clear embossing powder.

For the reverse I cut a piece of card to size, blended some ink, stamped my sentiment and added a couple of layers of clear embossing powder before attaching it. I did try and crack the embossing a bit for a more vintage look.

I edged my tag with a gold leaf pen and finished my keyring charm off by adding pearls using some linen twine

The new STAMPlorations Store is fully open now, it's got an easy search facility. Why not pop over and have a little browse.

Should you find yourself placing an order, feel free to use my personal discount code STAMPGIRLMONIKA at checkout for a 20% discount on your order. Please note that my discount code can not be combined with any other coupon code, but you can use it as often as you wish. I've got to be honest, if you use the code and/or the link to the STAMPlorations Shop I provide in my posts for your purchases, I will get a little reward.

I hope you feel inspired to turn your hand to altering a mini tag or two.

Have a lovely day!
