I really enjoyed working with my chosen papers. What I like about the Ephemeral Edges designs is that you can alter them yourself very easily to achieve you own unique design.

Ephemeral Edges Artistic Crafter's Collage Papers
The chipboard holder is one I had sitting in my craft space for quite some time. It finally was the right time to decorate and assemble the pieces.
I chose the papers from the Ephemeral Edges collection with beautiful texture and layered designs and colours for the sides because I wanted to use some decorative stamping on them, maybe with some colouring. The bold letters from the Alpha-Chroma collection were ideal for the base. This project was going to develop as I went along.
I traced the pieces on the reverse side of the papers before cutting them out and gluing them to the individual pieces. Using my fine tip scissors I trimmed the paper as closely to the pieces as possible before sanding the edges. The paper on the tabs which went into slots in the base needed to be mostly sanded off to achieve a really snug fit, but the decorative stamping needed to be done first before fully assembling.
The Zinnia Row was the perfect contender for the role, stamped with black Memento ink and coloured with alcohol markers. After that the edges were lightly blended with Rosee Izink ink before assembling and adding the butterfly and sequins.
A coat of Mod Podge was added for protection. This was done after taking the photos.
